Unless you are in one of those hoity toity burbs that can afford lights.
So, the last half hour of each practice is a scrimmage against the U11 team, which the kids all go nuts about.

Confirmed that the lights do work. Today, there has been a massive (18”+ tall) white tailed hawk watching them from atop a light. He has been there for nearly an hour and a half now. Just watching. Waiting.

Knoebels (1.5 hour drive) vs Idelwild (2 hour drive) vs Hershey (2 hour drive) vs Dutch Wonderland (just shy of 2.5 hour drive) for a 4 year old?

Kiddo looooooves Delgrossos. She's 42" tall and is a wild child with rides. Loves little roller coasters and whatnot. Also, I'm thinking for a Saturday trip.

Everything I know about Knoebels comes from this video:

I would say knoebels. Idlewild is great and we love DW, but if it's only 90 minutes do it. Save Hershey for a few years from now.

Idlewild is fun. She should be able to ride almost everything there minus maybe the wild mouse and one or two others. Kiddie land is wonderful. The water park may be a bit too big for her still.

I've never been to any of the other ones.

Coincidentally we are planning our first del grossos trip labor day weekend. Altoona Curve game Saturday, Park Sunday, and home Monday.

Oh, is she into Daniel tiger? Because Idlewild does have that. Lil mac loves Daniel tigers neighborhood.

That Knoebels is depressing. Unless things have changed in 6 years.

Alright, idlewild was fun. For the money and distance traveled though, delgrosso’s wins.

Yeah we went to both this summer. I prefer Delgrosso but idlewild is definitely nice.

Oh yeah. Idlewild was a lot of fun, but 2 hours vs 40 minutes, $60 a ticket ($40 with the buy two get one sale) vs $25 a ticket. And to be frank, delgrossos had a better water park.

On the flip side, my kid won a jumbo prize at the game where you win no matter what. She had her choice of unicorns, baby sharks, pikachus, and she chose a bear wearing underwear.

I always hope my son doesn’t win a jumbo prize haha. No need to store that thing somewhere in my house.

Last month, grabbed my kid’s laundry and washed it, just trying to be a helpful Dad. Line dried his shirts when ge wanted them tumble dried and gave me ****.

Fast forward to tonight. Can’t find his running clothes.

Oh hell no don’t ask me where your clothes are. I didn’t touch your damn laundry.

All 3 of my kids came home with snakes from playing that game Friday

My wife said it was $10 per person to play?? Outrageous

Yup. $10 a play. But a guaranteed win, so there’s that.

I just got wind of baby meow’s Kindergarten schedule next week. Wednesday is from 7:30 to 11:30 for half the kids. Thursday is off for her but the other half go. Friday is 7:30 to 11:30. Monday is 7:30 to 11:30. Tuesday is a full day. Seems a little goofy, but let’s see how it work.

Is there a reason for that wacky schedule?

Nothing better than your 2 year old getting up at 530 at the beach  Been on the deck for over an hour so he doesn't wake the whole place up

^ been there, done that, @shafnutz05. Now, we're lucky to get them out of bed to see the beach before it gets too hot.

As for the kindergarten schedule, that seems to be the common schedule for these schools down here. My kids went one day, and the other half of their class the second day. Usually a Thursday and Friday, then everyone went for a full day on Monday. Parents could go on those first two days, which was pretty cool a bit overwhelming, especially for the first kid.

Now, he drives his brother to school. It's crazy because it seems like yesterday I held his hand and walked him into his first day of school.

I cannot move my head to either side or up or down, from doing headstands (or attempting to) with my 8 yr old niece yesterday.

I really feel like there's been a noticeable acceleration in my oldness the past 12 months

I guess to ease them in? I have no idea really. Like DG said, most schools down here do it.
