It’s dentist dependent. We’ve had good and horrible experiences
Yes, very much so. My sister is a hygienist, so she cleaned their teeth the first few times which helped out a lot. Smooth sailing since then. Now we're into braces and wisdom teeth being removed...yikes.

I'm sitting in the car right now with a toddler who screamed the whole way out of the dentist and they didn't even do anything. Good times.

We have prototypical daddy’s girl and momma’s boy despite me and the boy spending more time together and the girl spending more time with my wife. From the moment you first hold your baby girl, they have this hold on you.

My wife has to do non stress tests biweekly now and we're pretty sure the nurse that does them tipped her off that baby mac2 is a boy. We weren't planning to find out and she says something about "baby boy" at her most recent appointment, then got real awkward. You'd think being in OB that "do we know what we're having?" would be a standard opening line for every interaction but..

We did not find out with either and the PA let it slip with baby meow. mrs meow was not happy, but it was like two days before she was born so it wasn’t a huge deal

They even flag it in the EMR and it still slipped

Toddler LITT did a good job. She was out of sorts for about 2 minutes but then tolerated everything pretty well

Not sure what thread to throw this in but figured I'll spare the non parents in the covid thread.

Our daycare just sent out a notice that if "any classroom is exposed to Covid-19, the entire classroom must quarantine for 15 days".

Um what?

Our daycare reached out to department of health when there was an exposer in the 1-2 year old room. They shut the room down for 3 days and then opened back up on Monday.

I call BS.

Our daycare does contact tracing, shuts down the room for a day, disinfects everything and opens back up. Definitely not 15 days.

We actually just got an email today from about their 1-2 year old room as well. I just reread it. They individually tell parents how long their kid has to quarantine.

baby meow (4 y/o) got exposed today. Kid went home yesterday. Tested positive this morning. She can’t get tested until Sunday-Tuesday. Negative result and she can go back next Wednesday. Can’t go back until the 24th if positive or does not get tested. F meow

Having a kid in daycare truly sucks.
