We priced a five day trip to Disneyworld and Universal, 4 at Disney 1 at Universal. The AirBnB was about the same, but the tickets to the parks were up almost a third from our trip there in 2017 (this week actually).
It's nuts.

I always have told my wife. My two biggest fears being a dad, is my kid choking on something, and when she asks me to go to Disney.

Disney is okay. Next time we go, I’m definitely doing Universal Studios so that *I* can actually have some fun, too.

My sister and her family went to Disney like 4-5 years in a row. To each their own, I guess. That’s a hell of a lot of money to continually blow on Florida.

To me Disney is a 2-3 times in a lifetime thing. Go as a kid, go with your kids, and maybe a random visit.

This is how I view it, as well. I told my wife we needed to wait at least 5 years between visits, and I'm sticking to that. I think we have 2-3 years left before I entertain another trip, and thankfully my daughter hasn't brought it up.To me Disney is a 2-3 times in a lifetime thing. I don't understand these people at all. We took our daughter to Disney when she was 2 and when she was 6. Will probably go again when she is 10. We had a blast, but I feel like going every year like it is an expectation takes all the fun out of it. There are so many other cool places in the US to go see. DVC people are weird.I have co-workers that go to disney every single year. With kids... I just. How? Why....

Hahaha nothing but love for you all. I mean, hey, I go to the Outer Banks every year, I guess people that go to Disney every year probably think that I am weird. But the thought of being in that sea of sweating humanity every year without end...ugh.

We go about every other year. We enjoy it because it is relaxing for us. Just walk around and ride what you want to ride. Sandwiched on the ends of the trip we do other things like universal. Each time we go it is for about 5 nights.
Also, Every year we take one big trip to either a new place we haven’t been together (LA and San Diego last year). So we aren’t all Disney, though we do want to do a Disney Cruise again. Their cruises are leaps and bounds better than the others.

We go during off times or try not to go during July and August. Those are the worst times to go.@Kane @noceraSource of the post DVC people are weird.

I've been there all of two times. I just happened to really enjoy, got really into planning it, and wish to go again when it is feasible.

Hmm, could have swore you were an annual/bi-annual visitor. Perhaps that was your alter ego, the silent one.

Nope, we just really love it and know too much about it. Haven't been on a vacation since our honeymoon.

Haha I wish I was DVC. That **** is expensive. Here’s the secret about people who go to Disney frequently: they do it in a way where they avoid that sea of sweating humanity. The noobs are the ones looking miserable while waiting in lines. The Disney vets know how to do Disney without ever waiting in a line longer than 20 minutes.@Kane @noceraSource of the post DVC people are weird.

Resale is the only solution to the DVC cost problem. Same applies to Marriott and every other TS company

Oh, no doubt. When we go to Disney, we always find ourselves pitying the parents that clearly have no idea how to strategize fast-passes, etc. You always overhear conversations and it takes everything in my wife's power to not correct them/give them advice. The Disney vets know how to do Disney without ever waiting in a line longer than 20 minutes.

Yep. The amount of people who don’t even know fast passes are free blows my mind. How can you go to WDW and not do any research at all?

I get large groups having t-shirts, so you can find stray kids in a crowd, but a family of four with personalized t-shirts? Stop. Get some help.
