1) My 10 and 12 year old daughters basically spent all of July and the first week of August away at camp, grandma and grandpa's, and my sister's. It is really weird having them in the house.
2) At the first practice of fall baseball for the 7 year old.

Kiddo did some growing the past two months...

Head size: 50th percentile --> 65th percentile
Weight: 85th percentile --> 78th percentile
Height: 60th percentile --> 80th percentile
Gonna be tall like dad.

Both of my boy's are in the 90th percentile.
Dad was more like 40% percentile. They'll probably be taller than me by 7th grade.

My dad is 6'2" and his brothers are 6'4", grandpa was 6'3".
I'm 5'6" on a good day.
I had size 11 shoes in 8th grade and was 4'8". I only grew 8 more inches. I must have eaten a lot of paint chips or something around that time.

I have lollipop kids. They are both in the teens for height and weight, but their heads are in the 70s

Nice...our daughter was in the 99th percentile in height around that time...right now, she is taller than malkintent's daughter, who is a full year older than her. No idea where she gets it from.Both of my boy's are in the 90th percentile.

My daughter moves up to the next level at swim class today. It's amazing to see the progress with her, because I still find it hard to imagine that she's able to swim [at all], given where she was just 4 months ago.

Had the scare of my life yesterday. I'm in the kitchen making pizza while my mom is in the back yard playing with our two kids. I hear my oldest start freaking out like he does when he sees a bee (think bloody murder). Then I hear my mom screaming "nooooooo!!" and my oldest start screaming my youngest son's name.
There's a chance I was floating on air I ran so fast. Turns out my youngest had run out into the street. We live on a cul-de-sac, but it's up a hill so many people fly by our house in their car. Thankfully nobody was coming up the street at that time but I was visibly shaken for a bit.

Same (6'4"). My brother is 6 feet but we're both taller than my parents. Also, the more pictures you post on FB, the more I see your actual face in your child. It is wild.I was taller than my dad right about then. It's so weird. My mom: 5'2" My dad: 5'8" My five siblings: 5'5"-5'9" Me: 6'5"

Where is mini meow going?
My #2 daughter is a green belt in shotokan karate and we have not been able to find a place around here that isn't a midlife crisis MMA studio.

The thing I didn’t like was their pricing structure. It’s a membership system and their shortest duration is 6 months at $109 a month, but you can go to unlimited classes
Locking a 4 year old into a 6 month contract is dumb, but he did great so we might have to bit the bullet

Started giving the kiddo food. Man is this fun. The first thing we did was oatmeal, and she was so confused on what was going on, but by the third time we did it she had it down, was getting more in her belly than on her belly and she was really enjoying it. The excited hand shaking between bites is the best. Then we switched to green beans... my oh my. That initial look of utter betrayal cracked me up. Luckily it didn't last long and she went back to her munching ways. I think we're gonna have an eater on our hands, and I can't wait to make her all sorts of good stuff.
