Kid puked in bed tonight…
I get her to the bathroom and she’s standing AT the toilet… looks at it and then turns her head to puke all over the floor and into the hallways.
Get her in the bath to get her cleaned up. Let her hang out there while I clean the bed, clean the floor, clean everything. Get her out of the bath and get her underwear on her. She’s sitting in bed. Pukes again. All over herself.
Get her to the bathroom and… yup, you guessed it, on the floor again.
Fatherhood is wonderful.

So thankful that I was born sterile.
Three things I can’t clean up
1. Blood (Vasovagal syncope)
2. Poop
3. Puke

So at what point do you just burn the house down and start over instead of trying to clean up all that puke?Kid puked in bed tonight…

Probably a good call. When do kids start this puking stuff? A month a way from being two years old and we haven't had a puking incident yet outside of newborn fun. Maybe he's genetically incapable?

Our kid had the normal baby puke stuff, but then it didn’t really start until 4-4.5 years old. Every so often she gets a little bug and vomit city. It’s not all the time, but since it’s pretty dramatic, it’s memorable.

Ours was a constant puker through 2-3, but it ended abruptly. Just count your blessings if you’ve been unscathed to this point.Probably a good call. When do kids start this puking stuff? True puke story. Christmas eve 2008 or so. Boys have bunk beds in one room. Everyone but the oldest and me has a stomach virus. Had wings planned as part of a Christmas Eve buffet. I still made them for my oldest and me. Fast forward to 3 AM. Younger son was in the lower bunk and got wing puked on from the upper bunk where the oldest was. Spent 3-5 AM Christmas morning cleaning bedding, mattress, carpet, pyjamas, walls, everything. With Mrs. F of course reminding me she had said, hey maybe don’t eat wings in case you guys get the stomach virus.
File under someday we’ll look back on this and laugh.

I made momofuku Thai spicy wavy noodles for dinner tonight, and warned my daughter that they were pretty spicy. She waves me off telling me that they’re not that spicy. Okay. A few minutes later, this kid’s entire face is red and she’s avoiding eye contact with me.
A glass of milk later and she’s good to go.

Wow, that's early. They haven't started signups for after school next school year yet. They've yet to tell me if my kids are in summer school, so hopefully that's in place. If not I'm in a similar boat as you.

Hell, we're just trying to switch daycares and we've been on two waiting lists that haven't budged.
Our current daycare in Wexford is straight trash. They close at least once a week and we have to keep our kid home, never update, just basically hanging on by a thread there. I get it, but it never got better post-covid.
