Just got back from the 20 week ultrasound...everything looks good, and...it's a boy!!!! I am absolutely over the moon right now. I genuinely wasn't sure what I wanted before the scan but now that I know I'm incredibly excited.

Haha so would mine. Thanks!

Our daughter has been adamant about wanting a little brother. I think it's partly because she tends to like more boy things (Batman, Rescue Bots, etc) than girl things (she hates Barbies/dolls, lol). She also told me that if we have a girl she's afraid that I won't love her as much. Yup, she knows how to manipulate me

Can't wait to tell her later.

lol, I think that's why I'm excited. Get the chance to experience raising both a daughter and a son.

Our daughter had her kindergarten screening today--she did great! Teacher was very impressed, and said that there was nothing that we needed to work on this summer, she was pretty much ready to start now. They also gave all of the kids that got screened "Clifford goes to Kindergarten", which was a cute touch I thought.

Man, I still get weepy thinking about dropping my kids off for their first day of 5K. Even though they both were in daycares and 4Ks, kindergarten was at a real school (not a church preschool). It was much tougher on me than them.

So we use Google photos, and I got emotional just watching a created video of the first six months of my son's life. No idea how you guys keep it together when they're that old.

Google Photos put a collage or whatever of my sons at Christmas over the years...wow, much weeping. Right in the AI generated feels.

Yea, it's like a targeted emotional shot. I watched it halfway through and immediately closed it. They add the sappy music, and all. I love Google Photos because I can share anything and everything with family.

Kindergarten was easier on us than daycare, that's for damn sure.

Definitely won't be that way for me, our daughter started day care when she was 3 months old.

And I know the feeling boys. I don't deal well with my daughter getting older. I savor every single moment laying in bed with her at bedtime because I know those days are short.

My oldest (23) accepted a job as designer/programmer for a software company today and is moving out. Mixed feelings for sure.

I'm at the splash pad at our local park.

Send help.

"Dakota stop running. Shaniqua I'm gonna bust yo butt. Caden we going home you don't stop being honry. Sade get you and your f*ckin sister away from those kids."

Meteor please.

Kiddo finally popped out a tooth. 14 months. At least we can stop worrying a bit. The doc said we had until 15 months. At that point they’d need to do some testing to make sure everything was good.
