Minivans seem like they bring a lot to the table. But at the same time, they’re minivans. My SUV is paid off and only has 80k miles on it. Fortunately I will never have to make this tough decision. Having a paid off car that you like is a no brainer

Source of the post Pilot, more than likely.
Those things get bigger every year. This year's model is massive, and I'd probably have trouble squeezing it into my garage without knocking the side view mirrors.

Yeah, the size of the new models is what is attractive. My 11 year old is 5'1" already, and his 9 year old brother is right behind him. We'll need leg room for trips.

Not surprisingly, new Odysseys and Pilots are about the same amount of money (at least for the option groups we would get). I'm really just enjoying not having another car payment.

I found the leg room for the Pilot to be underwhelming, at least from the driver's aspect. Chevy Traverse delivers for me.

I was against minivans prior to having my second child. Then we got one. Now I swear by it. Makes life a lot easier IMO. Mine will be 5 this year and paid off. Odyssey. Runs great and knock on wood, no issues yet.

Hope to keep it another 5 or so. Once that goes, I hope to then get a F150. Kids will be plenty old enough then.

Just let it happen. Use a REDcard to buy everything, along with the Cartwheel app. On top of the obvious discounts you'll find, Target will wind up mailing you coupons every once in a while for everything that you purchased in the past. We were getting 20-25% off diaper and formula constantly, and that stuff adds up quickly - especially when you factor in the 5% REDcard discount and usual 5% Cartwheel discounts.

The mama cat in my house is top shelf, so I think Mac can handle raising a human.

We had smaller cars until our third was born and then we got a Odyssey. Can't live without it now (plus we have a fourth kid. we are maxed out and done anyway) We will probably always have a van until our youngest is in high school or something. I don't get the stigma but I know its a sore spot for some people. SUVs like the Pilot are perfect for those people (fun fact: The Odyssey is actually built on the Pilot platform) It is really cool to haul some wood and all your kids at the same time and have the trunk close.
