The screen time restrictions on how much and when the boys have access to the computer and Xbox have come in handy.
The issue now is making them turn in both the 3DS and iPads before bedtime. One of them would wake up in the middle of the night and try to play video games.

However it is nice not having to shovel snow or clean up leaves anymore.

Yeah, we use the Windows family settings for the PCs, but with Apple devices and a PS4, they can get around those restrictions.

My now 11 year old, got up around 5 am and hopped on Battlefield 3 and spammed a bunch of friends to join him online for a match back about six years ago. My brother texted me at about 5:30 and asked WTF was I doing playing at 5 in the morning on a work day.

I should have know then...

Already dealt with.

On another new thing this year was when the oldest two began caring about fashion; Only regarding their shoes and jackets/hoodies.

Perhaps when they are of age in a little over 6 years.

Convincing child #4 that a single kernal of corn does not constitute a bite and therefore the eating of three kernals does not fulfill the patriarchial mandate of "three bites and your done" is one of life's great philosophical struggles.

Dinner time itself is a mystery even the Mayans couldn't figure out.

Our daughter's day care's parents night out event coincided perfectly with the SW premiere, so I was excited to see it on opening day and not have to worry about spoilers. Naturally, our daughter puked twice last night and now we can't send her to school at all today. I feel like crying.

Seriously, thank you. Parents who send their kids to school sick are the worst.

That's the best thing about homeschooling.

Have ebola? You can still do worksheets in bed. ;)

Was told today that “goofball” and “dingbat” are bad words.

Thoughts?

Probably safe to go along with it so that kids don't get in trouble at school, IMO.

For some reason whenever we go to Wendy's for dinner my three older children all order side salads with fries.

The hour or two I spend with my 4 month old on weekend mornings before the rest of the meow pride wakes is the best part of my week.
