It only gets worse. Wait until the one year visit. Nurses repel from the ceiling to give your kid a shot.
Yeah, that was bonkers. It was a terrible feeling holding down my daughter's legs, but she was laughing by the time she got to the car.

Two bits of advice for sports’ parents:
1. If you have an issue with your kid’s playing time, talk to the coach about it first. Better yet, have your kid do it, if they’re middle school age or older.
Agree. Middle school or above have the kid ask. I might argue that it's never appropriate for a parent to debate playing time with a coach.
2. Your kid isn’t as good as you think s/he is. 98% of the time, the reason your kid isn’t playing is because someone else is better overall or better for a specific situation.
The other 2% your kid isn't playing because s/he is a talented douchebag.
Parents make coaching unenjoyable sometimes.
Currently sitting on the floor of the Savannah International Convention Center waiting with several hundred other people while my son competes in the National Junior Beta Club social studies competition.
I hate crowds and this is a **** of preteens, their parents, and bored siblings. It's driving me nuts...but the sacrifices you make for your kids.
