Yea, as far as I'm concerned this photos business is essential, and no way would I have been able to manage the detail we have now. It's truly vital.

Proud dad moment. Other than subbing in seven for three, my kid counted the whole way to 9 today

Both my boys had issues with 16. Always skipped that number for some reason

Haha thats mine too! When he counted to 10 he always skipped 6. When he started counting to 20 he got 6 but skipped 16.

And now he's really into singing and one of his favorites is "887-5309"

2 months in to dadhood and little 'Om has officially found his lungs. When he'd wake up to eat at night before, it would be a slow burn of him fussing gradually louder over a 10 minute span. Now within a minute or two he's full bore like he has never eaten in his life.

At least omster is not an omlette. After having two boys and now a little girl, I can say the decibel level has more than doubled with the little girl.

We are having a small gathering (about 12 people) for my son's first birthday party today. I think we have 10x as many balloons as people

Sesame Street themed.

Anyone bring their kid in for a flu shot yet? Our daughter had hers today, and the injection site swelled up like crazy. Got so big that I actually called the pediatrician. They told me that this year’s has had this effect on kids.

Great. We are going to get the kids’ theirs in about a month. Should be a great time having two kids with giant swollen arms.

My son got his the first week of September and nothing like that happened. I believe they did it in his thigh..

Daycare teacher told me today that she loves how confident my daughter is. She helps the teachers keep other kids in line. She doesn’t like it though when she tries to put teachers in time out.

Hahah, that was our daughter too. The "rule follower". Even now she always points out people that aren't social distancing, etc.

My daughter, yesterday, to the clerk in Dollar General: "Wearing a mask isn't fun, but we have to just deal with it." Parroting my own line when this all started.

I love how direct kids are with stuff like that. I had mini meow in Lowe’s the other day and he points do a guy like seven feet away and says “how come he doesn’t have a mask on?” I responded with “some people don’t care, but we can’t control what other people do.” and made sure to be loud enough for the guy to hear.

Same - I find this method to be more rewarding.

it was very unexpected. we went through years of unsuccessful fertility treatments and procedures before our first and never thought it would be this easy. i am super excited and think its going to be a wild adventure and am looking forward to it. its just bringing some interesting conversations we hadn't anticipated - i.e. still have 4 frozen embryos, throws off our personal finance trajectory that we have been working towards before our 2nd (were hoping to pay off mortgage and thought we could plan things out given the challenges with the first) -- but as a wise man once said - thats show biz baby

Congrats! I think

That reminds me of a friend of mine. Almost the same story. A dozen years of failed attempts, then twins with the help of an artificial procedure. The doctor told them that they call him “the kick starter” because couples typically could get pregnant on their own after he helped them with their first. They didn’t believe him, so now they have three kids in the same birth year. Twins in January. And third in December.
