Yeah just looking at my oldest sons teeth right now im going to guess he will probably be okay or not need much. My youngest son though (who has already had one oral maxillofacial surgery at 13 months) is likely going to require extensive work.

We make good money, but damn does it suck feeling broke when you're dropping almost $700 a week in daycare.

Just got my yearly summary and we were almost $12,000 this past year for one kid who stopped in August and another who only goes 3 days a week. Sure is nice that I'll get an inflation adjustment on the $2000 child tax credit in the next few years lol. And I am well aware that's a very low number relatively speaking

Its so bad - we spend roughly $35k/year and honestly it will be that way for like another 4 years until my daughter hits kindergarten

Yea, it's not fun at all. We've got one going into Kindergarten here in August - but it sucks because we just enrolled our daughter full time, so we just started our 5 year timeline lol.

Is that for multiple kids? I am currently paying $390 a week for an infant and I thought that was high.

That's way higher than what I paid, but this is going back to 2012. We paid a little over $1100/month for infant daycare.

It was $360 last year, so I assume inflation has drastically increased the costs since then

Thus we elected for Mrs. f to be a stay at home Mom for years. Her non masters level social work job would have paid maybe $2000 a month, take out the child care and vehicle expenses and it was well worth whatever pittance would have been left to have her stay with the kids.

Child care is way overpriced and Social Workers are possibly the most underpaid profession. To get to even $50k a year you need your Masters’ degree. Granted people don’t go into that to get rich.

My oldest daughter freelance babysits for two different families during the day Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri at their houses and makes crazy money. Nice benefit of being homeschooled.

Having a kid with cash is the best thing that's ever happened to me as a parent, especially since her route home passes by my office.

Buddy of mine goes all the time, and says he always books one day fewer than needed because you can store your luggage and still access the entire facility on the day of your checkout until close.

Yes, we did that also - only booked one night but plan to go for two days to the Waterpark/indoor pool. I was wondering how that would work. I figured just keep a bag with an outfit as opposed to the whole suitcase.

Get ready to pay absurd money unless you bring a majority of the things you need. We went last year, and are also going in March and are planning to avoid any food at all cost on-sight, where possible. Place is a money pit.

Well for one, it's Sandusky Ohio and I think we spent something like $1500 for 3 days last year. It was obscene.

Drop your kids off at my house, I'll shape them into upstanding citizens for half what you are paying

Would recommend Kalahari. Good food on site. Didn’t break the bank.

Got one night at GWL for $225 after taxes for 6 (us 4 and grandma and pap). I thought that was decent. We'll make it a point to try and only eat one or two meals there. I'm sure my kid will be a whiny brat and grandma will give in though

For those of you who had kids with braces, are retainers a thing where kids have to use them at night forever after the braces come off?
