Came here to post that exact tweet.
I guess this is the one instance that - I can't believe I'm gonna say this - you can't fault Robert Nutting for being so cheap.

Will be interesting to see if there is a class-action lawsuit that follow this template.

The Columbia Fireflies - formerly a Mets affiliate - is looking for a new MLB team affiliation. 3 year old ballpark that could probably host a AA team. Not sure what would happen if they don't find a team.

I know I'm a broken record on this but this whole thing is one of the most short-sighted and self-defeating actions in the history of sports.

I hate all of this. I read **** today about the Appalachian League being turned into a wood bat college league and the West Virginia Black Bears, amongst others, now being part of a before draft/after draft prospect league. **** that ****.

It is going to be an unmitigated disaster.
But that's to be expected from Rob Manfred.
That's why I mentioned lawsuits. I can imagine there are some municipalities that sunk mad money into stadiums being the cornerstone of local development that are empty now that are going to be livid.

I definitely fear for teams like the Altoona Curve. That franchise has been a boon for the city, and Blair County Ballpark, imo, is one of the finest experiences in the sport.
The minors in baseball reminds me a lot of the local short tracks in racing.

As expected West Virginia went from 4 to zero teams.
Sad to see both Hagerstown and Frederick gone.

Miguel Cabrera should get to 3,000 hits and 500 home runs next year.

Part of my plans for my dad’s christmas gift last year was to plan a long weekend in Western MD, play a few rounds of golf, and catch a Suns game. Obviously that didn’t happen and it wont happen. Thanks MLB.
