Yelich fouled a ball off his right knee and broke his kneecap. Done for the year.

that sucks, basically ensure the Cubs make the playoffs. Luckily they'll just get wiped out by the Nationals in the WC game.
edit, just looked at the Nationals roster, they have a trash bullpen, can't believe those idiots weren't trying to get Vazquez at the deadline. If Cubs were to get to Scherzer out of the game, they would probably win.

Yeah, that sucks for the Brewers. The only good thing is that Bryan Reynolds has one fewer competitor for the batting title.

That was my thought as well. Thank you for also being shitty. What Reynolds is really going to need is for Rendon to slow the **** down. Dude is batting 442 over his last 15 games vs. Reynolds' inferior 338.Yeah, that sucks for the Brewers. The only good thing is that Bryan Reynolds has one fewer competitor for the batting title.

There has never been 4 teams to win 100 games in a single season, I think we're looking at 5 100 win teams this year.
I think that the Braves, Dodgers, Yankees and Astros are all locks for 100 and the Twins have an outside shot too.

If that 90-win team that misses is the Indians, I'll be pretty satisfied with it.

The A's, who are in the midst of a battle for a wild card spot, are so bored with playing baseball in September that they dared Mike Fiers to shave his beard into a G.

BOO FCKIN HOO BRYCE. I gotta say, the tremendously disappointing season for the Phillies has taken the sting out of what has been a pretty miserable sports year for Pgh fans. I vividly recall how they opened the season sweeping the Braves (featuring two Harper home runs), and this entire city was convinced they were bound for the WS. Getting swept by the Marlins in June was also a highlight for me.

In a 17-hour span, the Twins win the division and hit their 300th HR of the year. Maybe this is the year they finally kick the football and beat the Yanks.

Twins and Yanks played a bonkers series back in July (which I missed because of my British trip). Final scores: 8-6, 14-12, 10-7. Note, take the over.

Cardinals over Braves: due to Brave injury problems
Dodgers over the Nationals: I want to pick the nationals, but their bullpen also sucks, so the Dodgers vulnerability is not exposed.

At this point, a Dodgers-Astros WS seems almost inevitable.

Been waiting for this prediction to finalize my playoff betting.
