all I could find is “Rule 5-1-1 (f-4)*:Ball becomes dead immediately when: goes over or through or wedges in the field fence“
From my (very limited) understanding, the OF raising their arms is more of a precedent rather than directly from the rulebook. That said, an umpire should know and understand precedent before being a dingus
I’m a little drunk and I immediately regret taking this stance because I know almost assuredly Angel Hernandez is in the wrong
*I need Shyster’s assistance on rulebook references

Angel Hernandez sucks and he should have been out of a job years ago. Let me put that on the record first.
That said, technically, it is his call. Why? Well, when the ball is hit and it's not a fly ball, he has no runner responsibility until someone is coming to the plate. 1B has the batter-runner and takes him through there. 2B has the touch by the runner on first and the batter-runner coming to 2nd. 3B has to get the runner coming into 3rd. Had it been a fly ball, 2B would have picked up the ball and a rotation would have ensued so the baserunners could be tracked. But as far as the call being made there, you can't call it if the fielder immediately plays the ball. If they think it's wedged, they raise their arms up, umpire kills the play, and then goes to check to see that it's wedged. If he goes out there and it's not wedged, then the runners stay where they were when the play was killed. If it's sufficiently wedged, then it's ground-rule double. I don't know how Angel can make that call without a fielder raising his arms. Yes, the LF puts his up but the CF is already playing the ball. So, in a major shock, Angel Hernandez kicked another call.

The LF didn't put his hands up, he was pointing and yelling 3.
Only thing I can come up with is angel thought the point was him communicating that it was stuck.

I am really not emotionally prepared for Judge to set the AL single season home run record

Scherzer got pulled after 6 perfect innings tonight. Him and Kershaw are tied for the most (4 each) perfect game buds through 6 innings of the last 30 years
Kind of an amazing stat considering how many great pitchers have pitched in the last 30 years but I guess that’s indicative of the current era, especially since neither of the two have a perfecto (fewer hits since starters throw hard and are pulled earlier and batters are trying for home runs)

Personal hero and all around good guy Pujols at 699. Might not even need a week of the Pirates to get the job done.

Pretty awesome what he's doing this year. His trajectory five years ago or so would have never predicted this

Pujols is one of my favorites ever. So awesome. Went to a ton of games in my teenage years to watch him carve up the pirates

who was the person that Pujols went to high five after he crossed home plate?
also re: steroids, I believe him and Judge are clean as of now but I wouldn’t be surprised if tomorrow we found out that they are both juicing. There have been enough bad eggs that I’m completely cynical of everyone

You can choose to celebrate the accomplishment or be a miserable skeptical **** about it. Easy choice imo
