Pujols was my favorite player growing up. Always had a thing for Dominican players for some reason (he overlapped my love for Vlad) and really didn't care about anyone dominating the Pirates because everyone did so whatever. His LAAoA career is so weird compared to everywhere else. Even his stop with the Dodgers last year was an improvement.

Ok that was a dumb joke but I didn’t realize he and Stanton both had 50+ HRs in 2017. At least Stanton was still in Miami then
It’s annoying because now, “post” the steroid era, I feel like anyone can be juicing
But also the focus of hitters has changed to “home run or strike out” that the numbers are all wonky

Truly one of a kind. It's incredible. I wish he was on a team that didn't suck and existed in a better time zone.

Braves catch the Mets and Scherzer goes on the IL. If my team could get their asses in gear, the Yankees might continue to choke away their big lead. It would be great to bring all the NY clowns down a few notches if their baseball teams turn into a bunch of chokers.

Agree with the pitch clock, not so much the shift. Players used to take the time to learn to hit the ball the other way. They refuse to do so now, so defenses have (rightfully) adjusted. Where's the harm in that?

I’m very happy about the pitch clock but regulating shifts doesn’t sit well with me. I guess ultimately it’s similar to positioning rules in football (have to have x number of guys on the line) but forcing teams into a particular defensive position just feels blegh. Though this should help hitters and thus make the games more fun

It's actually hard to hit the other way believe it or notAgree with the pitch clock, not so much the shift. Players used to take the time to learn to hit the ball the other way. They refuse to do so now, so defenses have (rightfully) adjusted. Where's the harm in that?

The pitch clock in Altoona when I went the other day is an unbelievable blessing bestowed upon the game of baseball

Is there a punishment to either the batter or pitcher if either dawdles and the pitch isn't thrown in time? The pitch clock in Altoona when I went the other day is an unbelievable blessing bestowed upon the game of baseball
