Strasburg.
Tony Kornheiser nicknamed him "The Orchid" awhile ago. Seems fitting.

The right call would have been to call a strike if he was refusing to get in the batter's box as that's the rule. Not that I'm saying that would have been right either in this case.

yeah, you can't toss a guy for being an a-hole... which watching on Sportscenter this morning, Harper was being an a-hole. Harper had a few choice words about the strike call and then sort of taunted the ump about the box thing before getting tossed. I'm not saying the ump was right, he clearly wasn't, but Harper certainly escalated the situation.

There are certain umps that don't like being shown up and I'm guessing that is what happened here. If Harper just keeps his mouth shut and continues, this is a non story. As for the pitch, the computer generated strike zone might have shown ball, but that's a strike for most human umpires.

Again, I'm not saying that it's all on Harper but he gets 50% of the blame on this one in my book.

I loathe harper and hes an asd. I find it hilarious that he got tossed. But the only taunting or goading was coming from the ump.

The manager kicking dirt on home plate as a form of protest is so silly. I guess it's just one of those baseball traditions.

The umpire is yelling at harper to get in the box when he isnt remotely ready and doesnt even have his mask on. Hes 100% in the wrong.

I don't think anyone is arguing that, yet. But Harper didn't help matters.

Strange thing is that this ump apparently didn't toss anyone last year or yet this year. Odd situation to pick.

Early 90's. It's just local DC radio and podcast. At one time it was one of the national ESPN radio shows.

Oh radio...yeah i avoid that. Exclusively kistened to nhl radio during my time in dc. I cant believe anyone punishes themself listening to that guy.

I guess there is a reason that dodint shows up as dodint though.

My guess is your perception of the show is nothing like the actual show.
