Saw a tweet that said to the effect Bobby Bonilla will still have 4 years left on his contract when Bryce Harper finishes this Phillies contract.

I know that in the long run he made the technical wrong choice given time value of money.. but with the horror stories of athlete finances, getting over a mil every year for thirty years or whatever is kinda great

If Joey Votto went 0-for-2,900 over the remaining five years left on his current contract...

His .299 OBP would still be better than that of former teammate Billy Hamilton (.298).

Bryce Harper gets drilled by a 96 mph fastball on his right ankle and he drops to the ground, rolling in pain. He limps off the field. #Phillies

Angels and Trout close to finalizing a 12 year, $430MM extension. Deal is expected to be free of opt-outs. No idea if this will replace the 6 year, $144MM deal he was currently playing on and had two seasons left or just serve as a true extension.

Seems a bit crazy. That deal takes him into age 39.

So you're saying he's worth landing such a whopper of a deal?

Not so sure I’d go that far. But they are a top 5 team, IMO.

But man. Saw their highlights. You walk Bryce and have to face Rhys. That’s simply unfair.
