I stopped following Saunders a longtime ago. Dude is a chode.Pittsburgh sports media employs the dumbest people. Do you have to fail an IQ test to get a job in this town?

I'm just happy it happened after Colon hit his legendary home run. Lame.

I’m all for it. I’m not a fan of the DH, but if this means no more flailing pitcher ABs that are automatic outs and a reduction in brain genius managers making the game take 5 hours because we’ve got endless double switches, pitching changes, pinch hitters, etc. all to end up with an empty bench for 7 extra innings, well then let’s give this a go. I’d rather everyone have the DH than nonsense like every pitcher had to pitch a full inning or whatever little league rule they added this year. It’s gonna suck for Buccos fans because there’s one more position they won’t pay for, but at least Josh Bell has somewhere to play without dumping all over 1B for however long he remains in town.

I'm for it. Change is good. Bad pitcher ABs are not.

Looks like the MLBPA submitted a counter offer to the proposal yesterday. I don't really understand the nuance of the # games and salary disputes. But it sounds like a number of owners aren't interested in playing a season without fans, so I think that means a season is probably not happening and it's just about trying to win a PR war.

Speaking of not going back, ESPN https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/293 ... ources-say has this listed for the MLBPA counter proposal today on playing 70 gamesIt's a sad day. They won't go back
It would get there eventually, but interesting.teams would be allowed to add advertisements to their uniforms, sources said.

Wasn’t the owners proposal 60 games? If they can’t get this done over a 10 game difference... wow. But if there’s a sport that would cancel a season over 10 games, baseball is it.Speaking of not going back, ESPN https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/293 ... ources-say has this listed for the MLBPA counter proposal today on playing 70 gamesIt's a sad day. Players union is saying they want more than 60 because they want more money. Its not feasible though. The players are dicking around right now trying to get the owners to order a 50 game season so they can file a grievance and use it as leverage in the CBA negotiations.

The only people affiliated with baseball right now that are winning are the Houston Astros.
