At least Joe went through 3 other organizations before being worth a damn.
The Chad Kuhl thing, like wth, it would have probably cost nothing to bring him back, just non-tender and resign for like 900K or something. Instead we have like three random ass worthless relievers in Hembree, Fletcher and pick a third.

since we had a day in Tampa Sunday with nothing to do, we went to the Rays v Red Sox game at Tropicana Field. my very first indoor baseball game.
God, that stadium is stupid. I can't believe the Bolts used to play hockey there.

Ah, the Concrete Jungle. Might go down there this weekend with the Twins in town. But it's such a sterile, dull place for baseball. It's necessary to be inside given how stifling it is here in the summertime but the location of the stadium sucks and the damn thing was built in the 80s so it was out of date about 5 years after they finished it.

I was in Montreal for a bachelor party when the Pirates happened to have an exhibition baseball game at Olympic stadium so I went. Those big dome ballparks are as weird as it gets

It's nice to go see your team play and they put 5 on the board in the top of the first and can cruise to victory. The Trop is still more sterile than an operating room, though.

I forgot the pirates traded him for Sean Rodriguez from the Braves. The mere fact gmnh traded a living, breathing person for SRod speaks volumes

The only way this BS from the umpires is going to stop is if the players risk the fine and call them out. Bumgarner refused to get into specifics in his postgame availability. Call Bellino out and say exactly what happened in that situation. He's making millions of dollars for the season so a simple $20,000 fine isn't going to kill him. We need to get these idiot umpires out of the game and players continuing to be tight-lipped about it won't help matters.
MLB
The umps are unionized. They can't be removed. See: Angel Cabrera and his lawsuit.
They can not self-police and MLB has no say in a particular umpires continued employment.

I don't watch much baseball but I'm been catching the highlights. I thought FTX was some cool new electronic system used to help with calls. Nah, just another sponsorship.
Also, considering I've seen a ton of videos already highlighting horrible strike calls, what exactly is the argument for the "human element?" Give me that robot ****.
