Every streaming app I've ever worked with that carries sports has an option in the user control menu that should allow you to set "don't show scores" or something like that. That's not available in Peacock?

It's in the title of the video per meows picture. That's different than the ticker up top with scores that you can elect not to show. Peacock appears to just be dumb

Youtube TV has the feature.

But, Google monitors what I watch/follow on YTTV and sends spoilers directly to my phone via the articles suggested on blank Chrome tabs. Not sure if it is spite or incompetence.

If you have the feature enabled it shouldn't show the replay tile at all. It's not just a ticker thing. (At least it's not supposed to be)

According to some Googles, this problem predates Beijing and was an issue for users during the Tokyo Games as well. The boss of Peacock said at that time: “So the Replays don’t reveal any information on the outcome of an event in the description. Only the Highlights - which is consistent with how it’s done on every platform that streams Olympics content. If you go directly to the replays row it may be a safer way to navigate if you don’t want spoilers.”

Maybe - and this is just a thought - you could try doing it better than 'consistent with every other platform' and differentiate your product. His suggested workaround was literally "don't look at Highlights".

I finally found the "highlights" row on my iphone and appletv. It's near the bottom right before the "SNL and the Olympics" row (which I can't believe is a thing). Replay is the third or fourth row. Putting the highlights row right under the replay row seems like a big mistake here. I blame whatever dumb OTT box meow uses. Probably Nvidia Shield TV.

Also, that answer reeks of "it's not a bug it's a feature."

Whatever explanation they want to give is fine and dandy. It’s not enough to keep me with their service. We got peacock for the summer games and just continued the service knowing the winter games were right around the corner and they’d have 8 months to fix the issue. They decided to give ya boy meow the middle finger and I decided to cancel the service because of it.

I echo what someone said earlier about the Winter games being held in alpine settings as one of the biggest draws about watching them. Lake Placid...St.Moritz...Lillehammer... Even Vancouver with the Canadian Rockies nearby. Turin too.

This just doesn't do it for me.

Needless to say, she has like a combined time of 20 seconds of skiing in 2 races before being disqualified.

Total studette who it appears can't get out of her own head this week. She said after the first one that she needs to put it out of mind, but unfortunately she's the type to dwell on mistakes like that.

The skiers also got wayyyyy less time on the courses than they typically get. Not that it's an excuse for Shiffrin, you gotta make adjustments, but if the snow is different from typical alpine environments (the announcers seem to indicate it is), then it certainly plays a role in her issues.

There's also the fact that China has basically shut down their factories to reduce the amount of smog. Also a good chance they used cloud seeding to make it rain and clear the smog.

We watched the freestyle stuff last night, and the venue is just so depressing. lol The Oly logo on the smokestack looks like graffiti.

On the plus side, no protected forest areas had to be chopped down for this particular venue.
