Really liked EPCOT as a kid, but doubt I'll ever get to go back.

EPCOT is not at all the same as you remember it. Of the four parks, EPCOT and Hollywood Studios have changed the most since their opening and EPCOT is currently going through another massive change. The Guardians of the Galaxy coaster alone would be enough reason to warrant a trip back once it's open.

World Showcase, for the most part, will be familiar. The big differences are Disney IP coming into play within the Norway and France pavilions. Ratatouille is a perfect fit in France. Frozen in Norway is a bit of a stretch. Great ride, though I miss Maelstrom.

Epcot has Flight of Passage. That's worth the price of admission alone.

:thumb: Soarin is great but I miss Soarin' Over California. The new "world" video is bad.

I never saw the California one, but loved the world one, personally.

It's the bad CGI that gets me. And also, unless you're seated in the middle section, the projection has some insane warping. This video has some slight warp but it's even worse in the outer seats:

How? They're.... Arendelle is taken from Arendal, and the town in the movie is largely based on Bergen, both Norwegian towns.

They took a ride set in Norway (mythological and historical) created with input from Norwegians and replaced it with a Disney IP (the first of its kind in World Showcase) set in a fictional country. It’s a bit of a stretch. I like the ride for sure but it goes against the original intention of World Showcase.

Is it worth it to buy Genie Plus? If so, at which park(s). Which of the fancy/popular rides is it worth it to buy a Lightning Lane pass?

We did LL for Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. We did Genie Plus for Epcot. I believe that is how it went.

You are an absolute psychopath if you don’t buy LL

How many were temporarily misplaced during the 5 days and for how long?

I loathe the day my wife wants to take the kids there. It's a microcosm of literally everything that gives me anxiety. Crowds, outdoor heat, theme park rides, overpriced everything. I would need Valium to get through it

Parents know that look left, look right, no kid, panic move. Only to have them directly behind you. That happened quite a few times. Never actually “misplaced” a kid though

The crowds are insane. Weather was perfect. The pricing of things in the parks (food, clothing, toys) was actually very reasonable
