So far the word out of camp seems to be pretty positive on KP, which is great. But if, after 6 weeks of camp and throwing into NFL defenses, it looks like it's a wash on the field between KP and MT, who do you defer to Wk1?People are going to be pissed when he's not the starter.

Pretty sure a strip sack is a fumble as well. Mendenhall is a weird dude.

My favorite part is that literally nobody was talking about it or even really remembers it happening. Dude brought up a play from 9 years ago that nobody was blaming him for and now everybody is blaming him for it.

There is a small chance that 93.7 da fan paid mendhall to make such a stupid statement so that the fan would have something to talk about during a slow part of the year.

I mean, to be fair I didn't fumble it, either.

I mean, if I running back strip sacked away my chance at a super bowl I would probably be up at night thinking about it a decade later too.My favorite part is that literally nobody was talking about it or even really remembers it happening. All strip sacks are fumbles.
What a turd. Surprised he didn't break his collarbone at the same time.

Mendenhall: First play of second half, GB scored what ended up being the winning points on ensuing drive, but the Steelers scored a TD on their next possession to effectively nullify that. The next GB possession the Steelers' D could not get off the field, giving up chunk plays on long third downs, and gave up a field goal; it was still a one-score game at that point, but to me letting GB take clock and get some cheap points is really what did them in that night. They desperately needed a stop and didn't get it.Probably the most consequential (in a negative way) play I can remember. Up there with the second O’Donnell int
O'Donnell: Dallas already had enough points to win on the board, and the INT came much later in the game. This was so much more of a clear kill shot to my soul imo.
Plus at least with Mendenhall the Packers were making plays of their own, they went after the ball.... O'Donnell was just like, "Here, Dallas football team."
The upshot here is when you mention both of these names in a group of Steelers fans, these are invariably the plays that come to everyone's minds.

I don’t understand. They were down by 4 I think, driving in gb territory, then just gave the ball away on a second and short

He's trying to place blame on his linemen. When you say strip-sack, the intent is that the sack, or break down of blocking, lead to the strip. Except a strip-sack is many times a blind-sided event, while Mendenhall saw his demise right in front of him and still failed to secure the ball.Isn't a strip sack counted as a fumble?

A RBs number one job is to not put the ball in the ground. He did that. He failed. It’s his fault.

And it isn't in any way like a strip sack. Or a separation. And i had completely forgotten this play.
