Too much talent on the steelers roster to piss away a season imo.

You've got a high end young RB, 3 pretty good receivers (if juju returns), a likely premier TE, a top 5 defensive playmaker among other solid defenders.

Ulfs right. They win 12 with Rodgers and upgraded lines. Hell, they probably win 8 or 9 with Mason and upgraded lines.

Next year's schedule should theoretically be easier as well

I'm a super-vigorous 'nope' on A.A. Ron Rodgers.

I trust you've actually seen him play by now at least?

I don't care if Rodgers is a schmuck. Bring us Seventh Heaven!

If you’re a fan of Big Ben, then you’re able to separate the art from the artist. Bring me Rodgers.

Would you trade a 1st+ for him? I don't know his exact contract status but he's not an UFA.

If the media would ignore him for five seconds I could pinch my nose and push through it. But having to hear every single day about how unhappy that sullen dadhole is, but also with Pittsburgh sports media layered on, would be **** unbearably awful. I would just skip the year the same way I skipped F1 last year.

I think the Steelers really should be on a two year plan. They are gonna have around 50 million in cap this year and similar to that once contracts are signed next year. Gear up where you can this year and go for it next year. Heyward still will be a player. Watt in prime. Minkah in his prime. OLine hopefully matured and fixed. Receivers should still be on their rookie deal.

They just need to get very lucky with QBs in the draft this year

I read one proposed trade package that had the new team sending three firsts, two seconds, and like three roster players to Green Bay for a QB who will be 40 next season. That's why I'm hard out on the idea.

I would inquire about what it would take to get him. I would not give up a first rounder.

No one is doing that. Not even the browns would do that.

Also, you'd be giving up whatever capital for a guy entering their contract year who would be free to walk after 2022 (his 2023 year voids after next season).

I thought he was a free agent so that changes my opinion, I wouldn't want them to give up a 1st

Rodgers has said he isn't interested in a rebuild so that would take the Steelers out of the equation you would think

They are, though. He's a loser. A stay here would be a stopgap. Except you can't put a young QB behind him or he will pout. So you can't start to rebuild until after he shits the bed in the playoffs.
Yinzers don't want a regular season champion.

Afc has some outrageous quarterbacks right now. Stillers need a way better roster and a generational QB to get into the conversation
