So to make this more interesting , should we all agree on a start word? The 5af Wordle Antecedent?

…until I remembered I could duplicate letters.

Missed it today. went through all the tries and couldn't figure it out. grrr

btw, I heard yesterday that a good start word is 'adieu' knocks out 4 vowels. 'Rants' for common consonants.

adieu followed by ghost is a good starting point. All the vowels and a lot of the common consonants.

Wow today's was brutal. I'm taking you all thru my thought process.

Got it in 5.
GENUS (in honor of #71)
BREAD (random word with E)
TABLE (thought I had it)
CHIMP (had literally no fkn clue and used 5 unused letters for clues)
ABBEY (I knew at this point there had to be a double B given the letters I had left)

This took the longest by a good margin, and was the first time I had to write the partial word on a piece of paper to work through it, even though I had three letters in their known position. It was also the first time I took a guess that I knew had to be wrong just to see what I could hit or eliminate. I actually had one of the letters guessed wrong in all four positions. Yikes.

⬛⬛🟨🟨⬛ DREAM
🟨🟨🟨⬛⬛ BEAST
⬛🟨🟩⬛🟨 FABLE
⬛⬛🟩⬛🟨 COBIA
🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 ABBEY

I think of this as a name for a person even though I worked in a seminary for a bit so it took me longer than it should have.

Yesterday 4.

Yeah this one sucked. Took 6.
Had to reuse letters that weren't in it just to find a word to try some new letters. Went through the lame process of trying every letter at the beginning of the word.

STARE
LEACH (forgot A was in wrong place ugh)
NAMED
EVOKE (confirmed there weren't 2 Es)
PINTA (had to confirm a was at the beginning and see if I was in there)

I've never seen this word before outside of an album cover if I'm being honest. My girlfriend got it.
