The word yesterday was "BANAL". If you guessed "A" early, it only lights the tile like normal. So you don't know if it's used twice until you guess it in two places and light both green tiles.

how do double vowels help narrow it down?
I only had two vowels left and had a pretty good idea that it wasn’t both. I had plenty of tries left, so I did a double vowel to figure out which one it was.

Lol, nope. I was looking more at the keyboard than the words I chose and my brain glossed over it thinking it wasn’t used. That’s when I looked up and finally noticed it was yellow (aka used).
I think “wrank” was my last option before I realized, even though I knew/thought that wasn’t a word.
