It's almost Nugget Nectar season.... *drool*
Actually, it is NN season, they released it in PA over Christmas, but I don't think it's supposed to hit Pittsburgh until next week according to the distributor I spoke to today. Also, hop juju in cans this year!

Speaking of Troegs, Mad Elf Grand Cru is excellent. Cherries are front and center and the spices compliment it well. More tart than sweet.
Agree. Enjoyed it very much on new year's.

Indeed it is! The Wild Elf was quite good as well. They do great stuff with that beer.

My wife got a sampler pack of beer as a christmas present. They're all Dogfish Head, and she told me that I can drink them as they're all too high alcohol content for her... Hmm, let's take a look.

Miles Davis' dodints Brew: 9%.. not terrible.
Seracusa Nera: 10%... okay.
Burton Baton: 10% ... again?
Higher Math: 17%. Whoa, calm down.
Fruit-ful fort: 18% JFC, stop...
120 Minute: 15-20% Why do you do this, DFH?

Although with the temps dipping down to the single digits, I might have my fuel to keep me warm tonight.

I had a 120 minute last weekend that I've aged for about a year. I don't drink as much as I used to so my tolerance has declined, but that put me on my ass.

That said, Burton Baton is fantastic. I believe @slappybrown is a fellow fan of that one if my memory serves right.

These are two of my favorite from DFH. I had the 120 at their brewery. Looked to see how much a case was and quickly moved on.

Had Dragon's Milk Orange Chocolate the other day. Packs a punch at 11%, but very good.

I'm not a high alcohol content kind of guy. If I'm going above 8-9%, I'd rather just have some whiskey, but I'll be damned if I let a gift like this go to waste.

Bourbon Paradise by Prairie Artisan Ales is 15.9% I believe. That one is amazing.

Dogfish has become my favorite brewery. The wife and I took a visit to their brewery in Milton, DE this past summer and one of the beers they gave us during the tour was the Palo Santo Marron. Very tasty and unique.https://www.dogfish.com/brewery/beer/palo-santo-marron

On a whim, I bought 12 pack of Iron City. For an American adjunct lager, it's actually not all that bad. Certainly not the worst beer that I've ever had.

I bought it a few days ago and have polished off about half of the 12-pack since. No gastrointestinal distress.

Iron City contract brewed by City Brewing at the Latrobe plant, which contract brews a lot of beers and beverages for a lot of major companies. They're not going to make beer that would make people sick.

Was it a "factory" sampler or did someone put it together?

Dogfish IPAs are actually drinkable, which is a rarity for IPAs

Not sure. It didn’t come in dfh packaging. It was a red box and had little windows that you can see each bottle through them.

I too enjoy an iron heavy and proudly wear my IC tossel cap that came with a 30 rack. Their billboard advertising is killer as well.

Whole Food's beer shop in Wexford now carries Abt 12, which my Shaywer Jiggle stopped carrying. Much joy.

I grabbed an Ithaca Flower Power because I haven't had one in a while and couldn't quite recall what they taste like... I still can't believe this beer got as highly ranked as it did over at the old place when we did that beer tournament thing. Not a huge fan.
