I had great lakes new standard IPA... It's just called Great Lakes IPA. I'm impressed. I would drink that every day. It's lighter (still 6.5% though), citrusy, and very mild bitterness, in fact, it could almost stand to be a little more bitter.

Just bought a case tonight. By far my favorite.Bell's Two-Hearted continues to impress, even though it's more mainstream now. So good.

So recently I had Heady Topper and Focal Banger again. Upon second tasting, I like FB better. HT is pretty good, but noticeably more bitter... Plus I am just a fan of Mosaic.

I really hope the Dogfish Head merger with Sam Adams doesn't hurt the Dogfish brand as it is one of my favorite breweries. I also hope the DE based breweries and restaurants don't close.

I never have been and still am not a huge fan of most DFH beer, so this is a solid "meh" from me.

DFH is currently owned by private equity and has been for years. So I'm sure it will be fine.I really hope the Dogfish Head merger with Sam Adams doesn't hurt the Dogfish brand as it is one of my favorite breweries. I also hope the DE based breweries and restaurants don't close.

There is a fellow beer nerd at my workplace. I told him about it, he went and bought it, and like me was pleasantly surprised at the deliciousness to price ratio.

Suprisingly, PA is not one of the three states on Tavour's "do not ship" list. They will ship here, but you can only get a 12 pack a month and you can't have more than one sixer of any brand per shipment.
https://www.post-gazette.com/business/2 ... 1901250133So to start, Mr. Adams says, Levante has a minimum of three four-packs and a maximum of six four-packs for any single order. They announced the service Wednesday afternoon, earlier than planned, and have started taking pre-orders that they’ll start fulfilling on Monday.
The actual carrier is Pittsburgh-based Quick Courier Service (QCS), which also delivers beers from all over the world for Tavour (https://about.tavour.com). That, too, is legal in Pennsylvania within certain parameters set in 2016 (Pennsylvania-licensed out-of-state retailers or wholesalers can ship consumers up to about a 12-pack a month as long as no more than about a six-pack is of any single brand).

https://www.breweriesinpa.com/voodoo-br ... ensington/The location Voodoo has chosen was a former Ritz Theatre, located at 956 Fifth Ave in downtown New Kensington. The building is fairly large with 5,000 square feet of space, and will include an outdoor area as well.
This new brewpub adds to the growing list Voodoo already has open (Erie, Homestead, Meadville, Grove City, Lancaster, State College, and Washington D.C.).
