Isn't it $12 for any IPA that's on tap? Or are you one of those anti-IPA fellas?

I have to admit, I'm loving Southern Tier's Help! On the Way! unfiltered double IPA brewed with mango. It's really, really good. Not sick of that IPA.

I was just going to post about this. It's one of their best offerings as of lately. It's so good.

I also tried this and was pleasantly surprised

Picked up a sampler pack of Genesee Cream Ales: Imperial Cream Ale, Dry-Hopped Mosaic Cream Ale; and Orange Honey Cream Ale. The first two are pretty decent. I wouldn't call either of them especially hoppy (and the Imperial is still only around 7% ABV), but both of them demonstrate that cream ale can be a tasty beer if you actually use some decent malt and hops. I like both of them.

The Orange Honey Cream Ale, on the other hand, is a miss. It has a very artificial orange scent on the nose that reminds me of an orange creamsicle. There's no way that scent comes from actual oranges. The flavor isn't bad, but I just find the orange smell very off-putting.

^^^agree. I didn't mind the orange as much as you, but maybe that's because I was a little surprised that I was enjoying a cold Genny as much as I was.

Had New Belgium's Voodoo Ranger Atomic Pumpkin today. I love pumpkin beers, though I know many don't. I also love spicy food. I don't usually like spicy combined with beer, though.

This was a great balance of pumpkin, "beer", and habenero spice tastes. Very enjoyable.

The beer sounds interesting, but it's too early for pumpkin beer.

Main thing I will be looking for when I'm in Houston is Live Oak Hefeweizen. Currently the #2 rated hefe on BA behind Weihenstephaner. Reviews sound delicious.

I think Oktoberfests are the only beers that I don't look forward to. They're usually too filling and make me feel bloated after a beer or two.
