Made it to the Bruery yesterday to pick up a couple holiday treats @eddysnake and one other. I asked about the opening slated for DC. "On target, soon." The location will be for distribution purposes to the east coast market. Kegs and bottles, no tasting room planned. They will still brew in Placentia and ship. More of a marketing expansion than a true brewery setting.

I brought home a crowler of Apple Pie. The sample was amazing and couldn't resist getting some for tonight.

Legal Remedy is very good. They’re a brewery in fort mill, sc, and have recently started canning. I’ve had their IPA and porter, which both exceeded expectation.

Last night had a Baltika porter which went down uber smooth.

Tonight I had Boulevard Love Child No. 8. It was excellent... Once the foam stopped flowing out of the bottle so I could actually pour it.

Description was a blend of Flanders Red Ale and Golden Ale, taste of sour cherries and green strawberries...

That describes it pretty well. Wws definitely sour but had a good flavor. I enjoyed the hell out of it.

@Tomas

I think this disproves my "Czechs only know how to brew lagers" theory. Frankly, it's beer I have never heard about - where did you buy it?

What is that orange juice and sofie? Might be good? I'd rather just drink sofie alone in the morning.

I enjoyed ST 3 citrus peel out with prosecco, but it's such a ripoff for a 4 pack that it doesn't really make it worth it.

I tried the mad elf grand cru the other night and thought it was terrific! Need to track down more of it.

Also grabbed some Sierra Nevada celebration ale which should come in handy for twice baked potatoe making this afternoon

Snagged a bottle of Mad Elf Grand Cru at Wegmans while shopping for Thanksgiving dinner. That was Wednesday... went back today and it's all gone. Glad I grabbed it when I did. Now I have to decide when to drink it.

My buddy brought me a bottle of the 3 citrus peel out... I thought it was terrible. Might be because it was an old bottle, but I do not recommend it.

Had a Dogfish Head Liquid Truth Serum last night. Enjoyed it quite a bit. Lots of hops flavor/aroma but not very bitter.

Had a Deschutes Jubelale last night...I've said it before, but winter warmers are one of my favorite kinds of beer.

generally speaking I go out of my way to disagree with shad, but I do agree about winter warmers. I like winter beers more than fall beers

My first 2 winter/xmas beers were Breckenridge Christmas Ale (solid) and Mad Elf (Good batch... Cherry seems pretty forward and there is no strange aftertaste like a few years back).

All hail the winter beer.

Speaking of, I had a bottle of Mad Elf on Thanksgiving. I will now seek this treasure for future winter consumption.

Got 2 bottles on Sunday to take to a Sunday funday party. The couple hosting are huge mad elf fans. It's really, really good... definitely going to pick up more if I can find it.
