BEER

Postby MR25 » Wed Mar 25, 2015 4:15 pm

Figured I'd get this one started.

I enjoyed a nice Blue Moon last night because Hemingway's charges out the ass for anything half decent.

Have a bottle of Baltika porter sitting in the fridge from a week or two ago. Haven't decided when I'm going to open it.

I've never not enjoyed a beer. Just some I've enjoyed less than others.

This

I actually found myself drinking Miller Lite on purpose since they went back to the '70's-era white can/bottle.

Ouch. Over bud heavy? The disdain runs deep.

I forgot the air quotes around enjoyed. I'm fairly certain they don't clean the tap on their Blue Moon because it tastes like crap, but everything else that's a "staple" does as well...

Spoonwood Brewery - Taffy Gruffudd - 10 stars in my book! It's a new Honey Welsh Ale they just added. 8.8% abv.

YUM!

Need to get my hands on some Chillwave if possible.

I think Ommegang's next GoT beer will be coming out right after Easter... looking forward to that.

That's harsh. I actually think Blue Moon is OK and for whatever reason need to have one at Primanti's when I go.

Also, IPAs are the greatest. My beer needs to bunch me in the face with a delicious and even reckless use of hops.

I think I might take a couple of stouts to the beach this summer. Take em out of the cooler, pour them into a pint glass (or alternative, if glass is not allowed), and they warm up to ideal temperature in what, 5 minutes? Not even?

Had a Mammoth Brewing Co. Double Nut Brown Porter last night. It was delicious. Really awesome chocolate taste infused in the nuttiness.

My wife stopped at Wegman's on the way home to grab a sixer...she found Deschutes Fresh Squeezed and Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout. Never had either and have been dying to try them.
