Duck Rabbit makes a decent one, but I have trust issues with them with all the reports of their randomly skunked batches.

$5 Union Jack at the bar I go to with the hot bartender wearing jean shorts- good start to Friday.

Also, have you guys heard of mike modanos kolsch- it's by rabbit hole called "561".

I like it as much as I like the player- he's an arrogant ahole womanizer

So that Prairie Ale saison is pretty nice. You can just tell that it will give you the shits and I mean that as a compliment.

Just picked up Terrapin Moo Hoo and drinking it now. Like very much! Also grabbed Southern Tier Live, haven't had it before but an old guy with a shiner under his eye said it was good and I didn't think that was a source I should ignore.

With the talk of great milk stouts, Terrapin moohoochiato (chocolate espresso milk stout) is excellent. A little pricey for the low alc (6.1%),but it sure is tasty

That's an interesting way to gauge price (ABV). I've never really done that.

Yeah, I thought the same. Although higher ABV beers are pretty much always at the high end of the spectrum, the inverse isn't really true.

I never thought about it in those terms until all the nerds on beeradvocate started complaining about BCBS being too expensive at 8 dollars a bottle...a rare 14% beer which is one of the best in the world.

Too expensive because the ABV isn't high enough?

No, because they're not happy about anything. but my point was that they weren't taking into count the abv.

The Prarie milk stout is good, but definitely not up there with others I've had this week. My bottle shop also has a sour, which is next on the list.

It always comes back to the wine comparison for me. Ordinary folks like us have access to some of the finest beers brewed in the world. Eight bucks will only buy you a very cheap bottle of wine.

I remember once at the beer store I go to, the gentleman told me that they had Dogfishhead 120 minute. I asked for it and he came out with one bottle only. I went to the register and it was $10. I was ticked off at first until I realized it was like 16% alcohol or something like that.

120 minute varies a little bit depending on the year.

And my lord, the hoptimum is as glorious as I remember from last year. I love this beer.

Edit: I got Gordon Lightfoot playing so things are probably going to get a bit nuts

I walked around the distributor today for like 20 minutes and didn't buy anything. I was too damn indecisive. May just make it a liquor day
