They should cap the number of teams a conference can get. I know they never will because money, bud did we really need the 9th place B1G team in there, who went 9-11 in conference play?

B1G sent teams with 18-14, 19-15, and 21-14 records. Anyone really think they had a shot to do anything?

And, as luck would have it, TODAY is the day I have tickets to see Hamilton for the first time! :)

So, I'll turn off the phone, enjoy the Broadway magic, and maybe later I'll find out that Razorbacks made the Final Four for the first time since I moved to Fayetteville. Or maybe not. 8-)

(It would be funny if the cast found some way how to incorporate the result of the game into the show... )
Or maybe not... :)

I am very happy with the state of UofA sports now. Two Elite 8 in the row, football ranked, baseball national title contender, track&field as well...

And Hamilton is a freakin' great show. Worth paying 2x$130 for the CHEAPEST tickets in the house (last balcony row, extra chairs added). :)

If I remember well, the majority of the tickets on the main theater floor are $450/seat. Even balcony was $200+ except for the last row extra seats (which I got).

Still completely sold out 2-weeks worth of performances, 16 shows total.

And, if I understand well, Hamilton North American Tour has now TWO or THREE separate tour groups criss-crossing the US...

My wife and daughter won the lottery for Hamilton and got front row for $20 each in Philly.

Feels like Wake really got shafted the more this tourney goes on. I jest with the ACC chant, Pitt stinks and I don't really root for conferences (besides MACtion). But seems like they just got the conference wrong all year
Wake didn't play anybody in the non-conference season. The only three power conference teams they played were in a multi-team event and it took them OT to beat a 3-win Oregon State team and then they lost to LSU and a 4-point win against a crap Northwestern team. When your conference is perceived to be blah, you'd better have a sterling record in conference (13-7 isn't all that sterling) or you'd better have scheduled pretty decently in non-conference (they didn't). Now, should they have been in over Michigan or Indiana or Notre Dame? Possibly. But I'll go back to what I said after the bracket was revealed -- those who got left out really don't have much of a case but will cry otherwise. The bubble was terrible all season and they gotta put 68 teams in this thing.

Can't really put a cap because in some years, the conference will deserve what they get. Plus, the committee's task is to give us the 38 best non-AQ's and there will be a much bigger uproar if a deserving team gets left out because there's a cap on the number of teams a conference gets. And once you get into the bracket, who knows what could happen. We've seen two teams go from Dayton to the Final Four. That 17-14 Michigan team won their first round game (though, they got some very questionable seeding and location for that first round game).

I don't totally disagree, but when was the last time a 13-7 P6 team missed the tournament? Bet there's not many instances there

This just seems like arguing for the sake of arguing. Out of conference schedule?

The argument is that the conventional wisdom was wrong, and wrong in a way that put in 3 mediocre big ten teams that had no business getting into the tournament over a 25-10 ACC team.

After all of the bracket chaos, we are going to end up with one of the most blue blood final fours in history.

There were plenty of upsets... The problem is, it was mostly teams that don't win the tournament much, if ever. Purdue, Gonzaga, Arizona, etc.

All the blue bloods survived.

It's hard not to get excited about this Final Four. We're gonna see 3 great games Saturday & Monday, including one of the best rivalries in all of sports. It's a shame that Nova isn't going to be at full strength with Moore out with the Achilles. That might deaden the first game Saturday but Jay Wright has done more with less in the past and he's got a week to come up with something to overcome the loss.

I’d much rather something along the lines of last year’s Zags/Baylor final where someone new was guaranteed to win.

The least traditional “blue blood” is Nova and they’ve been the most successful of the four recently.

The actual basketball should be great. The four names don’t do much for me.
