This is saying a lot about Cruz. But based on the back end there, not sure these folks know what they are talking about

Pretty sure 7 through 10 are made up and only three guys have faces. Nothing about this is good.

Ultimately it doesn't matter.Pretty sure 7 through 10 are made up and only three guys have faces. Nothing about this is good.
Davis and Gonzalez are both high floor bat-first prospects so are almost assured to make it to the majors, and at worst stick around. Roansy and Priester could both easily be worthless at the ML level. Cruz is just such a wildcard and ranking him above safe prospects Davis and Gonzalez, means something. Or these dudes just do these ranking based on hype and buzz, which Cruz generated with his post-injury sprint from Altoona to Pgh.

Fire Mitch Keller into outer space and find another stud SP and I like the looks of this

I’ll eat mikey’s digested coat hanger if Keller is here and worth a damn in 2025.

Also, that Cody Duncan dude is an idiot. I appreciate that he finds and shares clips, but his "analysis" is sub-Tim Williams.
He probably saw this, Matt Frazier in the projection, and felt unprecedented levels of vindication

That’s the exact pitcher at the exact price I wanted the pirates to ink

That would have been nice. Obviously it would take some sort of premium to get him to leave for here. But worth it imo

I can see Brault, kuhl and Moran all being non-tendered.
I saw something earlier this week, looking like there is going to be a ton of non-tenders across the league, essentially a second wave free agency.

With the “big” signings out of the way. Inventory check.
3B, C and CF, no questions.
Newman likely the starter at short to start, but he is being dangled, so they could potentially open that spot for Cruz for opening day.
Chavis, castro and tucker could be in the mix at second.
I guess Moran at first for now, but he could be cut and the job given to yoshi.
Corners, guessing gamel, yoshi, and tucker?
SP-Brubaker, quintana, Wilson, peters…..
Actually, god knows, they have like 11 of the same guy on their 40-man.
The pitching staff is ****

Alford will get some run at a corner, at least to start. I wish Colin Moran and his weenie approach at the plate nothing but the best in his future endeavors

Not sure I believe Moran gets non-tendered just because Yoshi also bats left. I guess my predicted batters are:
C - Stallings, FA1
IF - Hayes Tucker Newman Moran Chavis FA2
OF - Reynolds gamel Alford yoshi Allen
Where FA1 is Michael Perez or similar and FA2 is wilmer difo or similar.
Cruz starts in AAA, Castro never gets meaningful PT in pittsburgh.
Theyll keep Moran because he can play 1st, 2nd, or 3rd.

You and the rest of the baseball universe have a different definition of “can” when it comes to Moran playing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

Valid. Personally I hope they shoot discount Adam Laroche into outer space but they think he has versatility

Former related, Frazier traded to Seattle after sucking in San Diego and Marte signs with the Mets for $78MM over 4 years. He’s really taken it to another level in his post-Pirates career.
