I guess as long as he's willing to sign a team friendly deal. Not a bad PR move but not sure how it helps in the long run.

From May 2019:
Please just let this be the end of the Brault era.
I dont know what was happening in May 19, but your wish has been granted.

He was making regular appearances I imagine. Just revisited his career numbers, his 2020 was an outlier. Even when he was being okay (mid 4 era), he had a 1.5+ WHIP.

Ousting him and Kuhl seems like a no-brainer.

He had a really weird 2020 (who didn't?). Half his starts were genuinely great and half his starts were genuinely crappy, and there was no rhyme or reason for a good or bad start. Every other year he was consistently below the line with some oddly impressive starts sprinkled in here or there. He is the major league equivalent to a 10-15 digit handicap. Occasionally gr8, occasionally awful, and mostly just....there.

Brault is a nobody. Stallings is a somebody. Interesting move to send him away now, hopefully they're getting something meaningful. They have no catcher and he's very valuable to the pitching staff

Many experts suggest having at least 1 catcher on the 40 man
