You needed 2 yards, why are you throwing down field?

Franklin needs to be on the first flight to Los Angeles and take that damn USC job already.

My biggest gripe outside of the fake FG attempt and the turtling in the redzone after the 4th quarter fumble was the fact that they decided they didn't need to keep a TE in to help the o-line against the Michigan DE's that were killing them all day. So many adjustments that should be made aren't and once again, PSU loses a game not because the talent on the other team is better but because the millionaires in windbreakers don't know what the **** they're doing.

Meanwhile the Buckeyes pull Ryan F Day out of their ass and don’t miss a significant beat. Fully expect him to clobber this team that should have lost to us today.

The big Canadian kid came in for an ineffective Clifford and looked pretty good today. Total snooze before that.

Busted coverage on Malick Meiga resulted in a Canadian Freshman to Canadian Freshman touchdown.

2 shutouts this season, so there’s that I guess.

Did I hear Franklin correctly that they had 35 guys out this week? Or did I misunderstand and he meant out for practice?

(heard parts of the 2nd half on radio and didn't get home until the final Rutgers snap to end the game)

If Veilleux had went in against Iowa (instead of that clueless dope that I don't remember), they beat the Hawkeyes and who knows how the season plays out.

That's the kind of passing attack I'm looking for.

That’s what he said. Penn State flu hit the football team late?

10 more years of some of the best recruiting classes in college football winning 7-9 games a season.

Lots of incentives in there….

My guess is they'll be paying him to not coach by 2025. College football is getting ridiculous in that regard.

So if he was under contract till 2025 what was the urgency here? After that losing streak no program as or more attractive was gonna take him. Let it ride.

These schools putting giant buyouts in contracts for firing coaches need to stop. So much dead money out there for people not to coach teams (Herman, Fuente, Orgeron eventually, Mullen). They re-signed him because it’s the typical tactic when a coach is connected to an opening. We’ll be doing this song and dance again in a couple years.

As it’s written, we now get 10 more years of bad clock management, terrible scoreboard math, and other headscratching in-game decisions.

Meh. He's a great recruiter. One of the best. Which is 85% of the battle in college football. He needs to find and hire a coach that can go get a top 3 QB recruit consistently and a coach that can land and develop o-line talent consistently.

He's a horrible game day coach, but how many college HC are there that win because they are great in-game coaches? Most 'great' CFB head coaches are also blessed with immense on-field talent.

I mean, goodness, Pickett almost makes Nard-dog look competent, until you remember that the defensive-minded head coach had his team give up 44 to Michigan...oops, sorry, Western Michigan.

Allar’s coming, 5 star QB from Akron’s OSU’s backyard. Hopefully they know what to do with him and get him a god damn offensive line.

You heard wrong. ;)

Recruiting isn't a chicken or egg thing. You need to recruit first in order to win. Then, yeah, winning makes recruiting easier. If you don't recruit well, you won't win...or at least win a lot.

If there were a whole bunch of candidates out there who were as good of a recruiter as Franklin and also a great game day HC I'd be more bummed about the extension...but I don't think there are many...if any...that would come to PSU. So. Yeah. The devil you know.

Get a good recruiter to turn around a program but eventually the program recruits for itself so if that recruiter can't also win find somebody else.

OR...

Give them a 10 year extension
