Not a fan. I really want the younger guys to have a shot. Clifford isn't bad but his ceiling is pretty low.

I actually think it's a good thing because I don't want to be starting the season on the road at Purdue with a green rookie. Allar's a 5-star and I'd hope that this is an Alex Smith-Patrick Mahomes rookie year with the Chiefs situation where Allar can learn the ropes to be able to take over at any time. The key to all this is the dumbass windbreakers making sure that Allar gets a good amount of reps each week with the starters so we don't have an Iowa situation break out again. Will it cause issues in the QB room with Veilleux and Pribula? Most likely. But if you want to win, you need that experience under center to start the season.

Now about the offensive line...

Agree with all of this. The transfer portal causes a bunch of heartburn in scenarios like this, but in all reality teams that recruit well are going to have to deal with this. If Allar sticks, he'll be able to learn from Clifford...and hopefully him staying committed will help bring in some stud WRs, TEs, and even OL.

I'd expect that if Allar sticks, Veilleux will be gone. As much as I don't like the transfer portal as a fan, it is absolutely great for athletes in situations like that.

There’s been at least two false starts from Arkansas so far that the refs just ignored. That 4th down one was brutal.
