Is that three drives Wisconsin had within the 15 of penn state and they walked with no points?

I think they win today and disappoint us later in the year. But that’s just my gut feeling.
My gut is on it so far.

Penn State 3rd and Outters, am I right?
What a discouraging first half. I get that Wisconsin has a great defense but I really felt like we'd see some improvement. Just a brutally boring offense to watch.

I finally saw the play. I agree with a 15 yard penalty. It was helmet to helmet, but the ejection was dumb.

Well, that was definitely something. The defense balled out big time and it's helpful when you feel immense confidence when the other team sets up to pass. O-line needs a lot of work and hopefully outside of OSU, they won't face a defensive front as good as Wisky's was today.

By most accounts, Graham Mertz is a giant ******. So glad to see him fail yesterday. Badgers fans were clamoring for Coan.

I was driving during the game and did not see it but I read that there were snaps taken under center?

If so please tell me the days of going backwards 5 yards on 3rd/4th and short are over?

Yeah, their second TD was from under center. Hand off to Cain and he ran it right up the gut.

An AP pollster had Wisconsin at 10 and Penn State at 18 in his poll this week... he rightfully caught some flack over his rankings.

I could have had tickets to today’s game, but I’m not comfortable with that just yet. Looks like a great crowd though.

Could have been my kid's first game in the student section but he couldn't get a ticket this year.

My main takeaway from this game is our in stadium game day presentation is unchanged since the Bill O’Brien era. Of we gotta keep 7 Nation Army, cool but can we replace Song 2 and “MAKE SOME NOIIIIISE!!!!”

And I’m not even there today.

Ever since Guido left, the in-stadium experience has become pretty stale. It's the same stuff over and over again. Seven Nation Army and Zombie Nation are originals so they should stay but all of the other overplayed, overcranked music needs to get toned down. Let the Blue Band do their thing. One other thing that has needed to go for YEARS is the PA announcer. He gets multiple things wrong every game. Just today, PSU punted and the ball rolled into the end zone. You could hear through the TV the PA guy saying gleefully 'first down Nittany Lions'. Ummmmm, no.

As for the team itself, they shut down a pretty experienced Ball State team and that was impressive. Clifford is still slow going thru his progressions and he tried to get too selfish, often missing the back in the flat who had nobody around him. However, he hasn't turned it over in 2 games and that's a giant improvement from last year. Defensively, they're beasts. So much speed there and the secondary is night-and-day different than what we're used to out of most PSU secondaries. Nix will prove a great barometer next week.

Top 10 in the AP poll again... just in time to get smacked by Auburn. Although, Penn State is tested so far, Auburn isn't. I know week 1 was tough, but this weekend will really show what this team is made of.

I'm oddly confident. I had this as an L preseason and thought we'd be 8-4, but Wisconsin was already one of the 4. I like what I've seen so far.
