The Lions just traded for Goff...not sure they are ready to give up on him yet?

I don't think they "traded for" Goff.

I don't think they "traded for" Goff.

They swapped him and Stafford and got younger at QB + draft picks...I would assume they are going to give him a year or two to see if he can be their guy, but who knows.

They had to take Goff for the trade to work.

Goff has an out after next season and so I assume 2022 will be his last as a Lion

Based on where the Rams are, and where the Lions are, seems like that trade was Stafford pushing his way out of Detroit.

The Lions shopped Stafford, not the Rams shopped Goff. There were half a dozen teams who submitted formal trade offers for Matthew, and at least one (CAR, iirc) who was offering better draft capital.

I assume everyone saw Juju posting on his IG story “it’s been real, Pitt”? So, sounds like he’s gone. Sucks, because I’m still a fan of his. I think people overlooked his play because he danced and had fun.
