*I'm glad he's playing. Pretty unusual for an NFL player to return the same season as labrum surgery

Hines Ward interviewed for the Houston HC job. I guess the media gig didn't work out. He didn't last long on SNF but I figured he would land an analyst gig somewhere.
Houston's checks off the Rooney box, too.

He’s been coaching for a couple of years now. Don’t see how being WR Coach at FAU gets you an interview for a head gig in the NFL though.

Unrelated, but Elias did go back and review the Watt non-sack and concurred with the Baltimore stat crew. No sack.

Maybe it shouldn't be considered a running play by default when the C/QB exchange is fumbled, but it is so that's not a super surprising decision.

The team is also likely to add a quarterback in the draft, and though it's not a talent-rich year at the position, there will be options. The University of Pittsburgh's Kenny Pickett, who opted out of the Peach Bowl to prepare for the draft, is one to watch.

Unless they trade up he isn't going to be there.

Draft season is weird. He's gonna get dinged for small hands and fall down mock drafts. Like no one knew about that until the combine

I mean realistically what's his ceiling in the NFL? I don't know if teams desperate for a quarterback are going to go there early and leave a high ceiling lineman on the board for example to get the next Taylor Heinicke

Hopefully I'm wrong and he's kirk cousins, but I just don't know if he changes the course of somebody's franchise and as such would be more likely to drop to a team like the steelers

Yeah, that’s a weird nuanced rule. If no one else touched the ball between the QB and the C it should not IMO be a run.

At some point during the play, the QBs intention needs to determined as 'forward pass'. Huntley, because of the fumbled exchange, never intended to throw on the play...even if the play was called as a throw. It's basically treated like a QB draw or running the option.

Watt actually kinda hurt his chances at having it ruled a sack by a) getting there so quick and b) forcing the fumble. If he's a half beat later, they may have said that Huntley looked down field or something...and if he doesn't force the fumble the tackle may be looked at more as Huntley gaining full possession of the snap and trying to re-establish the play.

Whatevs...sucks for Watt, but I personally wouldn't mind seeing 5 or 6 more of those today.

Justin Herbert ceiling imo. I think they play very similarly
