This guy at work that says "Thks" on purpose in his email instead of 'Thanks'. Dude, you already type 60% of the letters might as well finish the job.

Is that a valid abbreviation for that word?

Reminds me of Kevin shortening his sentences in the office... "See/Sea World..."

Our Senior Director signs his emails “Rg,”. Still unsure if he just can’t spell “regards”.

We had one guy (Michigan grad if it matters) who would type “thanx.” Seriously, who does that.

He made up for saving the one letter by being a serial “irregardless” user.

Respectfully Sent (or Submitted)

It's one of those military idiosyncrasies that stuck with me. And I'm a civilian that works for a military agency so it still works.

I'm often shutting **** down or breaking things, so Really Sorry works, too.

UPS has used this quite a few times recently:
Civil demonstration has delayed your package in transit. Delivery will be rescheduled. Check back for updates.
No demonstrations today, and certainly not at 4:04 in the **** morning in the far northeast.

I used to work at the VA and when the signature policy would change, we had to send a blank email to our mega micro-managing manager to prove that our signature complied with the policy as well as verbal confirmation. Fun times..

I'm working from our new house today.. waiting for a mattress to and box springs to be delivered.

Yesterday was the day from hell though. My wife was off, so her and my mother in law came over as we had a sectional and a bedroom set that was to be delivered. This was set up this way so we had somewhere to put the mattress and box springs today. We also had a dining room table set to be delivered from another company. The dining room table came no issue.

The other stuff... never showed up. My wife got a call around 11 and the delivery company said it would be delivered later in the day as they had a few other deliveries and had to go back to get our stuff afterwards since there was alot. Fine no big deal. I'm working back at my in laws so I am out of the way. On top of all of this my mother in law wanted to install the new yale smart lock I ordered. She had installed one on her door and it was easy. Well our door was not that easy, and she struggled with it for several hours because the hole was too small. She ended up calling a locksmith to come make the whole bigger and install it. I show up at the house after work around 5... still no sectional or bedroom set. My wife said she had tried to call several times, no answer or it rang and it went to a busy signal. I asked when they called in the morning did they call from the store, or from a different number. She said the store. So we wait, and wait, and wait. Long story short...we left at 9:30PM with no sectional and no bedroom set to go back to my in laws. Something may have came up, but there is no reason to not call and inform us what is going on. My wife was furious and it was just a long day and all that we ended up with was a dining room table.

Today the mattress and box springs are getting delivered with no place to put them haha. We may very well be sleeping on the floor. My mother in law is the type of person who will raise hell with this sort of stuff, so she is primed to call the place we ordered the furniture from right when they open, or just drive down there and demand either the furniture comes today or we get our money back (we spent almost $2,600 on everything).

So it should be an interesting day. We are supposed to fully move in tomorrow, and we basically have a recliner right now, a dining room table, the sectional that goes in the mancave. It's just annoying to schedule everything so it works out and do so for a reason and then have it not work out that way.

Moved into our current place almost 19 years ago. It has a couple minor issues but it’s 8 years from being paid off and for the most part I have no desire to move again.

I told my wife unless we hit the lottery we are not moving again. We have moved twice in the past 2 months. From our old house to our inlaws when it sold back in April, and now from our inlaws to the new house. We really started getting ready to move last October...so I am ready to have this process be over.

My mother in law went to the furniture place this morning when they opened at 11... I am actually kind of scared for them. I hope she didn't go in all crazy, but I haven't heard from her since before she went in at 11.

I moved in 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, and now again in 2020. Two of those were across time zones.

Well they basically didn't have all the pieces yesterday they were supposed to. The delivery drivers gave the paperwork back to the furniture company and they were supposed to call us to tell us that, but they never did? Either way it was a big screw up, and the don't have all of what we needed, and two pieces were "floor" models which we weren't told about. Basically just ended up getting a refund for the entire amount. We will be sleeping on a mattress on the floor for a few days, and have no living room sectional until I find another one but it is what it is.

Why is furniture delivery usually such a clusterf***? Everyone I know, including myself, has had an issue with furniture delivery at some point in their life.
