I fully support this policy, and would take it further, allowing the waiter to slap the person in the face with a white glove.
Or, you know, maybe a gauntlet from a suit of armor.

many years ago we went with my SO's college friends to Peter Luger's Steakhouse. the wife of one of her friends, claiming to be a supertaster ordered a burger. GTFO :scared:
I hope you're no longer friends with that person. Luger's is phenomenal.
basically not. I was 100% appalled. this woman essentially lived on pizza and beer. I have no objection to that but when you go to a place like Peter Luger's there is no option other than the most perfect steak ever.

Unless we're talking about a child, I 100% agree. The same goes for people who go to a top shelf steakhouse and proceed to order their steak well done.

Many people say the lunch-only Luger Burger is regarded as one of the best in NYC, if not the country.

That’s still no excuse.

except we were there for dinner. to their credit I think they served it to her anyway. I love a good burger but to choose that over Peter Luger steak is madness.

That's interesting, as the staff at Luger is sort of infamously prickly. They don't even accept credit cards.

Still, choosing the burger over the steak is absolutely 100% not the gimme you knuckleheads are making it out to be.

The white knights on FB/Twitter are annoying on normal days, throw in "weather expert" and "this is how you should prepare" and "don't think you know what you are doing" storm advice and it means place on ignore for a while.

Speaking of, reporters who go on-site for hurricane coverage deserve to be smacked in the head with debris.

There is an individual that sits within earshot of my office that will sporadically clip their nails. I’m like Elaine searching for the tic-tac guy looking for this monster to no avail.

A renovation completed in 2004 has given the main building a Zen feel. It included a koi pond, bamboo landscapes, and plush furniture.
Sounds nice.

When I reply directly to an email and they add everyone that I removed back to the email to reply to me. Good luck with that, lady.

I hate that. Like you are purposely trying to take it "offline" just to work through something with someone, and for some reason they feel the need to include everybody. Usually women that do this too.

I'm laughing because of you actually saying that, as well as the fact that this was a woman.

Honestly just something I've noticed in my 12 years in the corporate world. Men are much, much more likely to handle things through individual conversations and emails in the workplace. For some reason, most of the women I've worked with want to involve everybody. And yes, I've also found women to be much more aggressive with the "CC everyone" strategy. I will eventually CC people if my emails/requests are being ignored, but I've found they go to the nuclear option immediately.

When people put concave items face up in the dish drying rack.
Corollary to that...this might be the fifth time I've posted this but when we have company, or someone is washing dishes, and they put the still damp item FACE DOWN to dry. It amazes me how many people do this. If you put a slightly damp item face down on a dry mat or something where no air can get in or out, what the hell do you think is going to happen? It gets nasty, moldy, and will need another trip through the dishwasher.

I think this is a throwback to when everyone had the dry racks on the counter. Yes, with those you put stuff top down because that speeds drying. But if it is a flat surface, use your damned head.

The PA DMV. I was gathering the required documentation to apply for a REAL ID, and noticed that I don't have my original, government-issued birth certificate, just the 'Record of Birth' from the hospital. Whatever, I have an expired US Passport, so I figure I can use that. Nope! Only unexpired US Passports can be used, which makes no god damn sense, given that I can apply for a US Passport Card with an expired US Passport. So there's $30 down the drain for having to purchase a new copy of my birth certificate.
