It sorted itself out in the end. The day after, the company president found out about it and comped me tickets to another show (iirc it was Poison...... yay?) and blacklisted the VP from cashing in on company freebies ever again.

I wish Google Maps had a “political map” view. Annoying when I try to view borders of states or countries and they’re tough to read

When an article has a headline that reads...

"A good travel backpack is essential. Here are 22 of our favorites"

Why not give 3 or even 5...why 22? Those aren't favorites...those are a list of all 22 backpacks that are available in a list.

Not FedEX related, but my wife ordered a new wall calendar from Amazon...and we got an empty padded mailer. There is no way to file a return with Amazon for a shipment you clearly received, either. Had to talk with an actual chat agent to rectify the situation. That's a first.

I ordered some more dried heirloom beans from Rancho Gordo. Shipped by FedEx Ground. They were supposed to arrive three days ago. The tracking list reminds me of the song "I've Been Everywhere":

TruGreen misapplied tree fertilizer in one spot by every tree in my yard- they are supposed to spread around the entire drip zone but their tech dumped it all in one about a foot diameter circle at each tree. Those circles are now dead grass.

I tried to get them to fix this back in September when it happened, but all they did was give me an extra full lawn service, didn’t even ask when they were here what the issue was.

I got tired of looking at the brown spots that I couldn’t get them to fix so I called to cancel. Now I can’t get their customer retention people off my phone! Where were you when I called the first three times to get you to fix it?

I canceled TruGreen last year. It took 3 phone calls as every time they wanted to send a manager out to inspect my yard and discuss my complaints. They even came and did a treatment after I canceled. I filed a complaint with the BBB and that finally stopped their calls.

This equal parts hysterical and maddening. Manteca is a suburb of Stockton, and they're only like an hour south of Sacramento. I can't figure why there are so many stops just within CA.

Man, I will never use a company like trugreen again. Upsell city. I switched to local lawn care provider this summer and am much happier.

Do you trust these lawn care companies to rejuvenate a dead lawn or do they just apply fertilizer? I have all these bare spots in my yard. It needs more than just seed and fertilizer I think

I will never use any service like that after talking with a coworker that used to work for trugreen. He said that there were times that they ran out of chemicals and would just spray water on peoples yards.

We used Trugreen for one year. Their tracking app actually hurts their reputation. For instance, one guy did our entire lawn treatment in 7 minutes. 2/3 of an acre in seven minutes. C'mon man. Are you even trying? It takes longer for me to pull the spreader out and fill it with fertilizer.

Yeah after failing to get me to come back the lady said “well, if you decide to return we do offer a plan that treats your lawn for pests such as mosquitoes.”

I’m sure she has to do it, especially since the line is recorded and they probably are evaluated on it but are you serious right now?

Someone in the political thread mentioned no longer participating in road rage which I agree with… but if you come up behind me while I am passing at 5 over on a wet and possibly icy road, and flash your lights before my blind spot monitor light has even turned off, I hope I find your Jeep in a ditch up ahead somewhere.
