Are you pinching a nerve or is it fragile neckmeat that can't handle a 48 degree angle...?
pinched nerve. every time. and when that happens, you're f'd. for 3 days. heat will help a little. nothing else will.
Yeah, I pinched a nerve drying my hair one time before work. The shititude of that was off the charts. Three days for me too. Heat was what solved it. Couldn't turn my head to the right all that time.

It's not a chronic issue for me. I always get my neck loose before athletic activities. But have you gotten in that hold-you-upside thing for people with bad backs? Does that help that? I don't even know...
i want to try the hold-you-upside thing for people with bad backs(TM) since i also have a bad back, but my basement and attic have short ceilings so i have nowhere to put it.

this happened really bad a few years ago. i couldn't even get up from a laying position without help. i got to urgent care and they were kind enough to prescribe me ibuprofen. so helpful to wait an hour for a D-grade doctor to prescribe me a trip to the Rite Aid next to my house. i looked fairly homeless junky-ish that day, so i don't blame them for their suspicions. but come on...quiz me about my life maybe a little before rushing to judgement. do i have a good job? a family? have i pooped in the last week?

...though the next time this happened i went to a different UC and got some muscle relaxers. which did f*** all of course.

To the extent that I've had what are, in the grand scheme, fairly minor back issues, it has been all but debilitating. Everything hurts. Standing, sitting, laying down, breathing. Heaven forbid you have to bend over for something on the floor, or - heavens - cough.

that would be called an "Inversion table" though I think I prefer your name for it....I used one when I had back issues. I believe it helped. I was at least able to really stretch my back out.

I'll just leave this right here for you boys..... :pop:

Inversion poses in yoga are both fun and helpful for your back.

Stretching your back while in a hot shower really helps too.

Bringing the inversion table into the shower would be helpful for applying ball deodorant, but would likely produce less-than-desirable results for shitting one's self...

The assistant leader of my daughter's girl scout troop was caught stealing money from the troop last week to use for personal reasons. The leader was pretty distraught announcing it at a meeting. The very next morning I see the leader and assistant leader laughing and talking like friends at school drop off. Then at the meeting last night the assistant leader was helping out like nothing happened. Her girls are still in the troop, but still WTF??? Other parents and I are not too happy about that.

That is indeed a WTF circumstance. At a bare minimum her and (unfortunately) her girls needed to be kicked out of the troop, and I would have probably weighed pressing charges for petty theft against her. You and the other parents need to openly question/protest, if it is indeed a slam dunk case.

If that does not get fixed right quick I would give whatever the girl scouts governing body is a call.

My daughter’s troop disbanded, mostly due to everyone being sick of the nonstop fund raising.

Girl Scouts of Western PA. I think they started a complete audit of the troop finances. Needing bank statements from leader and documentation that money collected went to specified activities or items.

So I think the old troop is disbanding and whoever wants to stay is forming up with another troop? Not sure. All in the middle of cookie season. What a cluster F the one leader caused.

Girl Scout cookie season = I pretend to be on my phone when I pass their stands so as to not feel bad about not buying anything from them.

They had to go and make gluten free cookies. That was my excuse for a few years.

I accidentally knocked a shampoo bottle off the shelf in the shower yesterday, and it landed on my foot and split open about a 1" cut behind my big toe. It did not really hurt yesterday, but today it's sort of a dull ache.

You have to turn this into a pet peeve, man! Women that need a dozen bottles of various sundries in the shower, and I inevitably knock them onto the floor. Every time.
