I like this post because 5af's militant libertarian is calling for more regulation and licensing.
Touché. My preference, of course, would be to abolish the ADA entirely. But if we're going to have the thing, then there should really be a way to prevent jagoffs from flouting the law.

He's upset because they keep denying his repeated requests to have baldness categorized as a disability.

There’s a parent at my daughter’s swim class that comes in and puts jackets and purses across the front seats along the glass to save spots for her entire family. Doesn’t even bother watching her kid’s swim lesson. Got tired of that **** and moved one of her seats out of the way and sat my ass down in front of the lane.

My daughter does swim, taekwondo and dance class. 99% of the parents in all of the classes are great; it’s the 1% that are jags.

I have been having some interactions with the alumni group at my college, and apparently their new policy which I am noticing in every email is to have something like this below their name:

(she/her/hers)

Is this really fcking necessary?

I would cut off all communications with these people.

Are the people with those signatures people who work for the college in the alumni-relations office, or are those folks who actually live and work in the real world?

For the college  All in alumni relations, thankfully. Just not used to seeing the craziness since I'm 12 years removed from college.

The past couple years when my wife was woking on her Masters at the start of every course she had to give her pronouns.

In the real world I have never been asked my pronouns.

I have only been asked for my pronouns once, when I was setting up my profile on a studio career portal a few weeks ago.

Companies like Verizon who offer “rewards” programs that consist of getting $50 gift cards for $45 and sweepstakes you can use your points to register for.

Where the rewards at?

Just here to file my bi-annual complaint about how we arbitrarily **** with the clocks by one hour for no practical reason. I'll be on vacation so it won't really affect me but I will still complain on principle.
