Yeah, I answer calls. One that I was getting over and over was about a warranty expiring on my car. I just happened to miss the call, not intentionally ignore it. I answered and they gave me the option at the end to stop getting calls, so I did that... no more call. If I get a call that's from some sort of telemarketing or it's a recording, just block it after I hang up.

My home phone (VOIP) has actually been labeling some of the calls on caller ID as "SPAM?".

I get a ton of those too and my landline is also my business # so I almost have to answer. A couple years ago, I got into an argument with one of the foreign scammers after I told him I knew it was a scam. He called me a mf'er, etc, then said something like, "Good luck reporting this # because it's not real." Good times.

I listen often to Jim Florentine's Terrorizing Telemarketer albums, which are easily the most hilarious bits I've ever heard used on telemarketers. Every now and then if I'm bored I will answer and use one of those bits. I was able to drag a call out to about 3 minutes doing this one

Most of mine - when I do answer - are robocalls. Can't even **** with real telemarketers any longer.

Grade A dad joke right there.
Got another for ya. What do you call a chameleon that can't change colors?
A reptile dysfunction.
Legitimately a 8/10 joke

A man wakes up during surgery and demands to stitch his own incision up.

The surgeon steps back, saying "Suture self."

My favorite is the one where he pretends he's a cop at a crime scene, and makes the telemarketer think they're now a suspect in a murder.

"Forget about the floaters"..

There are so many great lines from that one. The telemarketer goes all out in that one.

That's not something weird or out of the ordinary...everyone hates that, and people that do it should be shot.

heh.

I mean, if it's a rating thing, great. It will keep them from cramping my space in a theater or plane or whatever. If it morphs into a fat-is-beautiful advocacy platform then yeah, honestly go **** yourself.

Going by the twitter handles they're embracing it. Not sure you can shame people that refer to themselves as 'chubs'.
