Driving on I-79S yesterday, and the vehicle in front of me kicked up some piece of sheet metal. Now my Civic sounds like a tank, as the piece of sheet metal must have knocked off a piece of the exhaust.

FedEx does it again!

First, an Amazon shipped dining table and chairs was backordered for 2 weeks (Amazon's fault) and then scheduled for delivery and delayed twice before arriving damaged. Then to return it back to Amazon, the non-FedEx shipping company no showed for two days and then shows up an hour outside of their pickup window on day three. OK fine, we'll order another one from Wayfair.

It gets shipped from Braselton, GA in two boxes. Both leave the warehouse at the same time yesterday, check into FedEx in Spartanburg, SC at the same time. Arrive at our local FedEx depot late last night, and both are out for delivery at 7:34 this morning...

But at 10:34 one of the boxes changes status - Delivery Exception Future delivery requested. WTF. It's on the truck with the other box that makes the set!

OK, so they are waiting to deliver both boxes tomorrow?
Image
FFS it makes no sense.
And the table is damaged! And three of the four chairs are banged up as well.

What's interesting is that Wayfair is sending out a replacement for free and not bothering to have us return the table/chairs. Guess it's not worth the shipping and warehousing fees?

Just now I got get this crap to the dump...ugh.

Special thanks to my neighbor who fired up his loud as **** riding mower at 7:40am today. Bonus points for mowing the area nearest my bedroom first, instead of down the hill where no one can hear him.

No worries, I'll just sleep when I'm dead, thanks.

I Don't they worry about dewy grass? I would never cut first thing in the AM even if noise wasn't a concern.

Driving back from up north today...

People on the highway that drive the same speed regardless of the speed limit. It makes no fcking sense to me. Like people that go 70 when the speed limit is 70, yet blow by me driving through a work zone when I pull back from 80 to 65 or 67. WTF? I end up passing them multiple times.

Also, people that don't use cruise and have no idea how to maintain a consistent speed. Also, people that crawl by traffic in the passing lane, and then gun it once they are back in the right lane.

So many weirdos

You nailed them all thank you. Especially the first 2. It just shows that they're not paying attention. You can predict when you hit hills that they're going to let their cars drive them instead of them driving their car and their speed fluctuates wildly.

I'd add the lonely drivers irritate me most. It's just me and them and I can't get them unstuck from me. I'm going cruise control and they come up from behind fast and then just sit a little too closely behind me beaming their lights. If I speed up they'll match so I'll often slow down 15mph to force them to pass which they do. But often without me as their guide they end up slowing down to the point I have to pass them again. Eventually I can stick them to some other car.

I either catch every car or pull away when cruise control is on and we’re going uphill.

When this happens on the PATP, I just put some distance between myself and them. I’m usually able to get around enough trucks that these idiots get caught in a big line, so I can go back to CC.

When you are using cc and come up on a driver you’re doing a couple mph faster than, you get in the passing lane, and they speed up so you can’t pass. What is this some kind of pride thing?

Oh man, there is no better feeling than skillfully but safely navigating through a complex of rubes and trucks, and coming out on the other end as the drones all get stuck behind the trucks as they inevitably pass each other with a 0.2 mph speed differential

And on that note, tractor trailers should not be allowed in the left lane, ever. I’m done with that nonsense.

Seems like every time I take 80 out to Lock Haven to see my family I get slowed down to 45 mph at least once due to tractor trailer passing on the hills. Eff that noise.

I've sold 3 graphics cards on eBay over the last six months, and two of the three had bogus buyers during their first listings. The first one drove the price up to over $400 for an old AMD card from 2013 or 14. This latest one was a no feedback buyer that created his account back in February. The price went up to $100 for a 1050ti, which isn't crazy. I guess he didn't want to pay the sales tax and shipping that put it close to $200?

I've sold dozens of other types of things during this time period including lots of expensive Lego sets, and only had one other non-payer (who apologized immediately and I was able to offer the item to the second place bidder) but the GPU market brings out the turds for some reason.
