 I figured that would be your response. I'll keep my savings account open with them in case another nice CD comes along, but they have a few rules that I don't care for at all - namely, the daily transfer limit and the account inactivity fee.

Goddammit do I hate group messaging.
My mother-in-law does not work, so she spends a lot of time throughout the day on her phone. She's a wonderful woman, but my God does she blow up phones. And the worst thing is, she will have like six different text chains going because she keeps sending her group texts to a random assortment of family members. So I have six text chains cluttering up the top of my Textra app.

On top of that, for the last week she has been sending stuff to me directly via FB messenger, but it was intended for the whole family to see. When I replied that I was the only one she was sending it too, she responded with a "WTF" gif and continued like nothing had happened :face:

There seems to be a big push to keep young children from getting addicted to screens, and I don’t disagree with it, but the elderly need some help as well. My dad, who has always been an early adopter of technology, but he’s constantly on his phone and iPad. Like I had to tell him to put that **** away and talk to his grandkids when we visited over the holidays. 😂

The weather is probably the one thing I couldn't care less about seeing on my local broadcast, so when there's a "weather event", I don't even bother watching.

I think that's one thing I'd like to see happen - is someone create a website and bring advanced metrics to weather reporting. That's the best way to gauge who has the most accurate weather machine, and a person who's most capable of providing accurate reports.

Mikey needs to get into that kind of get-up, he'd likely go far with it.

I don’t want a 1,500 word essay to tell me it is going to rain Monday...

The 1,500 essay would be on what the weatherman reported, he wouldn't actually be reporting the weather.

Oh. In that case, I really don’t want a 1,500 word essay to tell me the weatherman was wrong when he told me it was going to rain Monday

I, for one, enjoy reading most of mikey's extended posts. They're usually informative, and much better than everything being one liners.

Plus, he uses less ellipses.

Leaving hotel in Houston where it is 20 degrees colder than it is in Pittsburgh, but knowing that by the time I get home Pittsburgh will be in the 20s and the world’s largest ice rink.

But you’re still leaving Houston. That is nothing if not extremely positive.

They win one title in one sport in the last 20 years and think they have won them all. It is like a bigger more humid Cleveland.*
