Oh, Starz is available on all TVs but Comcast customers do not have access to Starz app on Fire stick. That said it does come with a Netflix subscription.

I decided I would check out some TED talks, but when I went to the Youtube channel the first categories I saw were "stories from DACA recipients" and "Embracing our bodies" with a bunch of fat women talking about "radical body identity". Am I thinking of a different lecture series, or do they let anyone get a mic and talk on these things? The one morbidly obese (I mean, REALLY obese) girl that was talking about the lie that "fat is bad" was out of breath after she walked out onto the stage and started talking.

The only good thing about Prometheus was the fake TED Talk they did with Peter Weyland as part of the viral marketing campaign.

People who leave that a little flap of the seal under the lid on things like cottage cheese, cream cheese, hummus, yogurt, etc. Usually I open the lid and the flap flings open and stuff flies on my hands or clothes. Tear it off and just use the lid!

I found a shop on Etsy to make a custom gift for my wife for our anniversary. I send them everything that they need to get started, but step 1 is to have them create a custom, private listing. They haven't responded to my last inquiry from 4 days ago, so now I'm almost at the point of starting over with somebody else. I have no idea if this is a full time job for them, but I could never run a business like that.

Second time this week, this time for tickets to Jack Hanna's live show. I'd just buy the damn tickets at the box office, but by the time that actually opens, the seats I want would be gone.

Probably why they don't have a real full time job.

Wanted to sleep in today... F'n gas company decided to start working on my street before 7:30.

Decide to watch some tv while eating breakfast... F'n box is in setup mode and the remote won't work.

After much hand wringing and googling, figured out how to get the remote into IR mode which bypasses the usual remote setup which was impossible since the box wasn't setup...

Finally got through setup and was able to get the remote back to normal.

This day is off to a great start. I would just climb back into bed but... Construction.

Target's stocking strategy for their 'back to school' area. At least a dozen workers with boxes filling every part of the entire area, preventing you from getting to half of it, and nearly every one of them simply goofing around. This was at like 10am, so it's not like we got there early while they were re-stocking everything, but for ****'s sake do a better job of... everything.

It's bad enough that I have to hunt for the Up & Up branded stuff so that I'm not paying 4x as much for 'name brand'. And all of this for my donation backpacks.

My manager does that with 80's movies, because those were his 20's and he recalls them quite well. This morning it was a movie called "Some Kind of Wonderful"... I have no clue. He'll also say a single line from a movie from back then and then point to me and go "Now what movie is that from?" "Ummmmm.... Schindler's List?" Is my go to response.

I'm reasonably sure nearly everyone who was actually in the Some Kind Of Wonderful cast would probably not recognize quoted dialogue.

I found a lone exception to this: a buddy of mine loves mobster movies, his favorite being Goodfellas. He has never seen The Godfather.

The wife and I were finally going to watch The Godfather III this last weekend; opted to watch Ernest Goes to Camp instead. I think the right choice was made.
