Women be shoppinYou have to turn this into a pet peeve, man! Women that need a dozen bottles of various sundries in the shower, and I inevitably knock them onto the floor. Every time.I accidentally knocked a shampoo bottle off the shelf in the shower yesterday, and it landed on my foot and split open about a 1" cut behind my big toe. It did not really hurt yesterday, but today it's sort of a dull ache.

We're supposed to get a coating of snow this morning, turning to rain in the afternoon. So, naturally, SEPTA crews put about a 1/4" layer of calcium chloride on every surface at the train station. I'm basically tracking salt throughout my building because of how much is still stuck on the bottom of my boots, despite spending time removing as much as I could without actually taking them off and running them under water.

The salt and calcium chloride around here have been absolutely terrible this winter. I think mainly because they keep putting it down for these nuisance events, and not enough precip falls to truly wash it away. The outside of our office building is like walking through sleet, only it's just salt. We're supposed to get a coating of snow this morning, turning to rain in the afternoon. Our township does a really good job in this area, using a brine mixture before storms, and only salting the roads if we're expecting ice/after a storm. SEPTA just goes overboard so as to prevent somebody from slipping on ice and suing them. Ironic, given that it's relatively slippery with all of this CC on the ground.

I don't think he's referring to this site, as it has not reached 1998 yet to allow for embedding links, etc.

The slow decay of newspapers is killing me. The trib's website (which I read because it is free) is starting to really get into the "tweets as articles" thing. f the internet. it is ruining my lifeI hate reading news "articles" on newspaper websites and its mostly embedded tweets from Twitter.

Yeah, I hate that too. It's to keep fools from tossing the baskets, but still...it's annoying because their salad bowl doesn't fit unless crushed in half, potentially spraying salad dressing or salsa all over you. Ugh.Garbage cans with tiny openings (looking at your Moe's)

A guy posts to a local Facebook group the 500,000th fish fry post, looking for the best one of course. But then he says "Make me want to go there. and GO!!"
Dude, calm the f down and quit ordering strangers around. This is a local church or VFD fish fry we are talking about, not some upscale place or like a college where they have to make you decide to pick them.
Do people go to different fish frys places every week or every year? I don't know why people, when they find a place they like, stop going there?

It would be nice to have more than one fish fry to choose from. The local (and only one for 20 miles) Catholic church has one each Lent...and that's all, folks.

I don’t follow lent, so I’ve never really had a reason.

I am not Catholic, nor do I really care about Lent. That being said. The time between Lent and Easter is fantastic just because of fish fries. Sooooooo goood. Got one from the local fire department for lunch today. Yummy.

To be clear, I’m not saying that they’re bad, just that I’ve never been to one before.
