Are we talking about Pennsylvania? Because non-competes are enforceable in PA. A radius of 100 miles would likely be held excessive and "blue penciled" by a court down to a smaller area, but you absolutely can enforce a contract of that sort. I've probably handled close to a dozen non-compete cases, and I'm usually representing the party that's enforcing them.

Jurisdiction is NC.

I wasn't correcting you, just highlighting that because I think it's super duper shitty.

A quick glance at our copy of Covenants Not to Compete: A State-by-State Survey (a great book for any lawyer who practices in this area) says that NC is basically the same as PA in terms of non-compete law. They are generally enforceable, they can be narrowed by a court if too broad, and they must be limited to a reasonable time and geographic area.

well we'll see. I'm going to continue seeing her when she gets her practice set up in January
also, while legal, a mental health counseling company with a non compete is pretty close to evil

New update from FedEx says it won't arrive until Monday now, with the status changing from on vehicle for delivery to at local FedEx facility multiple times. I hope they all burn their Christmas dinners.Another package “on vehicle for delivery” at 5am, rescheduled for tomorrow. Good chance FedEx forgets to deliver it tomorrow, too.
Seriously the worst of the bunch.

At a certain point Facebook's "people you may know" suggested friend algorithm becomes a list of "people you clearly don't like"

Yeah, Jesus, if I wanted to friend my sister in law don’t you think I’d have done it one of the first few thousand times you suggested it?

The sad part about all those fedex packages in the ditch was how many were from Chewy.

In the last 2 weeks I have gotten probably 25 friend suggestions of people with no common connections, and profiles in foreign languages. Mostly Russian/eastern European model-looking women who may or may not be actual humans. At a certain point Facebook's "people you may know" suggested friend algorithm becomes a list of "people you clearly don't like"
Can you buy placements on suggested friends lists? I don't know what I did to earn this, but I very much would like to undo it.

Does anybody care about how many Facebook followers they have? Not even "influencers" brag about their FB numbers.

Facebook is by far the dominant social media platform. It has more 'daily active users' users than Twitter and IG combined. Facebook has actually removed more fake/bot accounts than Twitter and IG have real accounts. It's not even close, although it can be confusing since Facebook owns IG. YouTube is actually the second most-used social media platform.

Over the last year I've unfriended something like 2,000 people who added me over the years. Mostly locals who "knew" me through photography. Family members of clients, guests at weddings, etc. Plus a ton of covid deniers who I just couldn't stomach seeing their faces pop up. Deleting people on there is such a chore though. You need to do one at a time, then confirm each one. If you could simply check boxes by names I'd probably be down another 1,000.

You see them at the drug store and they start berating you for unfriending them.
